Weāre here. Just slower.
After a month away at a health retreat, Iāve been easing back into daily life with a different pace. Less urgency. More time in the garden, which this time of year means watching the perennials push up through the soil, clearing beds, making space for whatās coming. Thereās something grounding about that kind of work ā it asks nothing of you except your attention.
š» Iāve also been sitting with some honest questions about social media. It can be a genuinely useful thing for a small business, and I do value being able to stay connected with people who care about aromatics and what weāre building at the school. But Iād be less than honest if I didnāt acknowledge the other side of it ā how much energy it pulls from your day, how easy it is to confuse posting with actually saying something, how rarely any of it adds real value to the lived experience of the person scrolling through it.
š»
So for now, weāre being more selective. Showing up when thereās something worth saying.

After three decades with plants, some materials still stop me in my tracks. Frankincense and myrrh are two of them.
š
Both of the oleo-gum-resins are from Oman āprecious materials that have been treasured for thousands of years. And hereās what fascinates me: when we steam distill them, we capture their aromatic soul, but we leave behind some of their most powerful healing compounds. Thatās why Iāve been working on perfecting the process of infusing oleo-gum-resins into a carrier oil, specifically jojoba oil.
š
Frankincense (Boswellia sacra) contains boswellic acidsāremarkable anti-inflammatory compounds that simply donāt make it into the essential oil. When you infuse the resin tears directly in oil, you get these along with the volatile aromatics. The result is frankincense as a complete medicine: grounding for the spirit, regenerative for aging skin, deeply supportive for wounds and scars.
š
Myrrh (Commiphora myrrha) teaches a similar lesson. The heavier sesquiterpenes and resinous compoundsāthe ones that make myrrh such profound medicine for damaged tissue and compromised skināstay behind in distillation. But infuse the tears? You get the full therapeutic spectrum that traditional healers have relied on for millennia.
š
These infused oils represent frankincense and myrrh as whole plant medicinesānot just fractions of them. Extracted with love and patience. Each of these infused oils has taken over a month to complete.
š
Iām genuinely excited to offer these. Theyāve become essential in my own practice, and I hope they serve yours just as well.

This is hands down one of my favorite seasonal scrubs! Fresh pumpkin spice sugar scrub made with real baked pumpkin (I use the extra from my pumpkin pie prep, but canned works beautifully too!), warming ginger + cardamom essential oils, and vanilla jojoba. The smell alone is worth it, but your skin will thank you too!
Pro tip: Keep this beauty refrigerated and use within a week for maximum freshness. Makes the perfect seasonal gift (or keep it all for yourselfāno judgment here š)

Black Spruce (Picea mariana) is my go to essential oil during times of stress. This northern coniferās essential oil, rich in bornyl acetate and monoterpenes, has an affinity for adrenal restoration.
Traditional application: 2-3 drops diluted in carrier oil, massaged over the kidney area each morning. French aromatherapy has long recognized Black Spruceās ability to combat profound fatigue without overstimulationāit strengthens rather than agitates.
Beyond adrenal support, this oil addresses respiratory congestion, supports immune function, and relieves muscular inflammation. Its fresh, resinous aroma grounds and clarifies, making it valuable for both physical recovery and mental exhaustion.
A cornerstone oil for anyone experiencing burnout, chronic stress, or the deep fatigue that comes from prolonged demands on the body.
