🎂Birthday brunch, 🌊Big Sur oceanside omakase dinner and a 25-year Art School reunion in Malibu.
What you don’t see in the highlight reel? The slower moments that required 🤕PATIENCE when a toe fracture benched me for most of the last two months. 🙏🏻Ya’ll when every step hurts, you learn to choose your steps wisely and appreciate your body! Who knew one tiny toe was SO important to the foot? (Bedazzling your medical boot helps.)🎊
BUT the takeaway has been to🐢slow down, rest, 🩻heal, and be more even more grateful for the moments I could say YES to.
SO as we close out 🌺May is Mental Health Awareness Month, I learned:
1. take NOTHING for granted
2. some obstacles keep you on your intended path
3. temporary struggles can bring permanent BLESSINGS☀️
Sometimes I think being sidelined makes getting back in the game feel even better. Shoutout to the friends who slowed their pace to walk in the rear with me lol. 🎊Here’s to hopefully 🤞🏽making a full comeback in June!

After visiting Japan in 2024, this black and yellow butterfly began visiting me in our backyard. She would fly around my head, even flapping her wings touching on my forehead for 30 seconds or more.
Of course it was always when I was alone and couldn’t capture it. It was our secret moment together for the last few years. She would come on huge milestone days when I was celebrating a victory….and on days I was struggling to make a decision or move forward. Guiding me.
Yesterday she came and stayed on my hat for several hours, not leaving even when several friends arrived. I would go into the house and return and she would re-land on my head. It was incredible.
I believe that the universe is always guiding us and sending us signs. We just have to listen. 🦋✨🙏🏻💖
