This is actually one of the worst takes I’ve ever seen a person of this calibre have. It’s very hard to watch because it’s 3 people in an echo chamber larping as people with empathy.

The entitlement, hypocrisy and irony in this clip are off the chart. In the rest of the video she talks about how a man with a pram watched her dog poop and asked if she was going to pick up.

She said she didn’t like that that. Yes, the person with the uncontrolled off leash dog, who is shitting everywhere isn’t doing anything wrong. It’s everyone else who is the issue. I genuinely cannot believe this person makes a living based off empathy.

Goes to show that no matter who you are, or what you do, people all have massive blind spots.

This is truly how people act with there dogs all day. Then we wonder why our dog doesn’t respect or care about us enough to simply recall 🤣

Hope this is eye opening for some of you, dogs are a lot smarter and know you more than you think.

Perfect example of how punishment and pain do not go hand in hand. To correct this dog’s behaviour with a leash would be unreasonable. How physically tough she is cancels out that option.

She would also happily hurt herself to get to another dog. Just using a spray bottle as an aversive, we can clearly stop this dangerous behaviour.

If you can’t handle a spray bottle as punishment, sorry you cannot be saved. It’s about as low force as you can go. I will never understand how someone could think using misted water as a punishment is cruel.

Perhaps we should euthanise the dog instead? Maybe that would be kinder? Don’t think so.

“What was the punishment?”. If you want to see how we stopped this dog’s reactivity. Comment “Yes” and I’ll send you a short 3 minute clip of how this was achieved 👌🏾✅

This is such a rookie mistake to make, you think you are teaching your dog thresholds. But for most dogs they are just learning a sit stay. These are not the same thing.

Simply say nothing, use the door to stop the dog, and release them when they do the desired behaviour. This is a better, quicker and more reliable to teach a dog threshold manners ✅👌🏾

This video is the reason I tell people they need to use a long line. It is much better in every way. If you are walking your dog around on a short leash constantly, you cause so many more issues.

This is the most ridiculous thing I’ve seen today. Clash of the standard dog owner.

Also no shade to the lady strangling the dog. People go into fight or flight.

Here’s a classic example of what most do wrong when teaching a down. They teach it from a sit, and eventually the dog is confused and can only down from sit.

Fix this by simply teaching your dog a down from a stand. It will look better, you’ll only have to teach it once and they know it from both positions.

Punishment = decrease or stop the likely hood of a behaviour. This is quite literally something everyone needs to do at some point in their dog’s life. There are many forms of punishment and they are all dependant on the mind of the dog you are training.

In these videos you see the same example of punishment, undesirable behaviour, gets met with an aversive experience (being sprayed with water). In response, the dog avoids the punishment by avoiding the behaviour that created it.

In this state the dog has room to think and create new patterns of behaviour. We also have a chance to create a more beneficial behaviour to replace the old one.

Many will try to convince you that what is happening here is an injustice and cruelty. That is simply cognitive dissonance at the highest level. We see with our own eyes the dog learning the intended lesson in real time.

With literally not physical harm done. If you have half a brain, you can see that this is an incredibly light version of punishment. I’d call this the minimum effective dose.

I didn’t believe it, then I tried it. Still don’t really believe it though. Feedback is welcome ☺️
