For months I have tried to make this post but after being MIA for so long it is hard to find the right words to explain. So I will start off just by saying hi and that I’ve missed you all dearly and I appreciate the overwhelming amount of concern you guys have shown in my absence.

Over these last few years my physical health started to decline and so did my mental health. I thought if I gave myself some time to rest between projects that I would be able to bounce back, but as months went by it seemed things were just getting worse. I had a list of symptoms a mile long and had no idea what was going on. That was until a few weeks ago when I had a seizure. Since that episode my doctors have finally started to take my symptoms seriously and we have started doing testing. One test did confirm I have Optic Neuritis which means the optic nerves behind my eyes are inflamed, so we are thinking this is all related to an auto immune disease. Other than that I am currently just jumping through hoops trying to manage my symptoms without a diagnosis, doing lots of blood work, and a plethora of different scans, so that we can get a confirmed diagnosis.

With all this being said, I am taking a step back from working until I can get some of my symptoms managed. However the Anvil Project WILL still be happening, I’m just needing to push my time frame out and possibly condense things for a while. But my plan was never to stop this project, I actually would like to make my whole business geared to supporting our agriculture community and continuing to share their stories. If anything, learning about auto immune diseases has made me want to advocate for our farmers and ranchers even more as having access to clean organic food is vital in managing flare ups. Our food is everything.

I appreciate the patience and support all of my clients and sponsors have had. This has truly been scary and exhausting journey so far, but I am eager to get back to working on this project and feeling healthy! In the meantime I will post as I am able too but please continue to give me grace as I try and figure this all out! Thank you🤍

One of my favorites parts about The Anvil Project so far, has been the random connections that I’ve made. Meeting was one those connections.

When we were planning out our trip in April, we wanted to make a quick stop through Phoenix AZ, was kind enough to reach out and find some ranches for us to stop at.

We pulled in to meet Landon later in the evening and we planned to just do a quick shoot and some interviews! However after hanging out and talking for a few hours, he mentioned that they were going to be doing some sorting and branding the next day and invited us to come out for a bit to film. We were going to be heading to Joshua Tree the following day but had a couple extra hours to spare and decided that we were going to go.

Getting there did not go as expected and the cowboys had a hell of a morning as well, but we still got to film a little bit of the sorting and captured some great shots and made some amazing new connections as well!

So grateful for this project, and everyone who has been supporting it! 🤍 #TheAnvilProject

Doctoring calves with down in Nevada!

Everyday Emily and the ranch hands go and check on their cattle. In the spring many calves are born and one of the ranchers priorities is to check the calves, give them their vaccines, and make sure there isn’t any signs of illness or injury. While the process of doing this isn’t always the “prettiest” it is a necessity to ensure that their cattle and other livestock are happy and healthy. When you let your cattle graze out in open pasture roping them is one of the only ways you’re able to catch them. As you can see this calf was full of life and quick! Once the calf is roped off, they quickly administer the vaccine and any other medication that may be needed and release them back to their mothers!

This process is tedious and sometimes frustrating or even scary! But day in and day out, regardless of the weather, our ranchers continue to work hard to provide the best care for their animals and ultimately the best food for us! #TheAnvilProject

When I say this little boy saved my life, I mean it.

My whole life I knew I was meant to be a mom. Even when I was younger I thought about my future kids and used to write in my journal to them. I always think about one night in particular when I was laying awake and in a really dark head space, and the only thing that pulled me through was knowing I was meant to have children and I needed to stay strong for them. The first time I held him, I was immediately brought back to that night and bawled my eyes out because I KNEW that he was exactly the reason I was meant to be here. Oliver may have come to us at an unconventional time in our lives, but it was because of him that God was able to direct me back to the path I needed to be on which has lead me to where I am today. I am a better person because of him and don’t want to think about where or who I would be without him. Being a mom isn’t and hasn’t been easy, but it will forever be the most important and rewarding thing that I’ve ever done.

This project I am doing is for him and the rest of his generation. We owe it to our children and those that follow them, to leave this world with plenty of beautiful land, and access to clean, fresh, and healthy food. Every child should have the opportunity to be a cowboy or cowgirl, a rancher or farmer. They should be able to run out to their garden a pick fresh fruits and vegetables whenever they please. I’m fighting to ensure that these lifestyles doesn’t die out, because while technology and innovation is great, the simple pleasures of growing your own food is something that should forever and always be available.

Tag a momma you appreciate below!🤍

Today I turned 24.

I am so incredibly grateful for this beautiful life that I am living, and I am proud of myself for all I have been able to accomplish thus far in my life. If you had asked me where I thought I’d be in life ten years ago, never in my wildest dreams would I have thought I’d be where I am today.

If there was one piece of advice I could give any of you, it would be this: Just keep pushing forward. Life has thrown my more curveballs than I could have ever planned for, and I’ve had every reason to quit and give up in so many aspects of life, and while I’ve given myself time to work though issues I’ve faced, I never let it keep me from moving forward and striving for success, and pushing forward in life. Take every opportunity you can, best the best version of yourself that you can be, and always be kind to others.

Thank you all for the support, love, and birthday wishes, I’m beyond grateful for it all! Cheers to being 24 and this next season of life!🤍

The Anvil Project -

April 9th, 2024, My crew and I set out for Utah and got to visit Golden Hour Farm. Golden Hour Farm is ran by Chelsey and her husband Spencer and their two children. They are a small, family owned and operated farm with a lot of passion. We spent a good portion of our day with them, filming and taking photos! This is their story!

“After 8 years of living in Europe for my husband’s professional basketball career, we decided to give it all up to start my dream of having a ranch. I was one semester away from graduating with my Masters degree in Social Work when I mustered up some gumption to do what I truly wanted to do; to be a rancher. I saw the western lifestyle providing me and my family with the things I so desperately needed. Purpose, confidence, and GRIT! I was pregnant with my second baby in 2020 when we decided to purchase the land and about 2 weeks after she was born, 13 highland cows were dropped off in our pastures. We are a first generation ranch and didn’t know what we had gotten ourselves into! We started with bare land (quite literally NOTHING on it) and over the past 3 years have grown our acreage, improved our soil and pastures with the livestock, failed and succeeded a lot, and now sell our grass-fed and pasture-raised highland beef direct to consumer. We decided on Scottish Highland cattle for a few different reasons; they have wonderful temperaments, they are beautiful cows, they provide an excellent beef product, and they thrive in the harsh winters of Cache Valley, Utah.”

Fifty States, Fifty Ranches, One Year.

#TheAnvilProject

A year from now I’ll be on the road traveling to each of the fifty states, visiting different farms and ranches, and not only capturing their stories, but providing education about these lifestyles.

Two weeks ago I did a mini version of what we will be doing next year and got to visit some of the ranches that are involved in the project. That trip has fueled my passion for serving these communities even more, and was perfect test run so I know more of what to expect once we hit the road in January.

If you want to know more about this project or just want to follow along make sure to check out my website (link in bio) and feel free to DM or email me for any questions!

If you would like to further support this project donations can be made via GoFundMe (also in bio) or you can check out my prints! Merch will be available soon as well! Other than that, by liking, commenting, and sharing my content you too can help support ranchers and farmers across the US and help me reach a larger audience to provide education about these communities!

On the home stretch today! #anvilproject 🌾🐄 It’s just the start, but already excited for what’s to come of this project. From the new to generational ranches that we’ve come across the past few weeks has been life changing. So thankful brought me along to hear + document the words of these farmers/ranchers. Truely moving how they care for their land, animals, and roots. 🖤
The Anvil Project.

I won’t be able to accomplish this without all of your support, and wouldn’t even be considering this project if it hadn’t been for the incredible support you guys have given me over the past few years! Please share this post to help get word out, leave a comment, tag friends, ranches, and brands! And if you have any connections or ideas please DM me or email me at

I believe that God has led me to this point in my life, and I truly look forward to seeing what He has in store for me on this journey. #theanvilproject
