Rocks act as anchors, grounding spaces physically and emotionally, while water becomes a connective tissue, guiding movement, framing views, and slowing the pace
of inhabitation.
The house sits low and unobtrusive, prioritising experience over form and immersion over monumentality.

Spaces are gently carved into the terrain, where stone holds you and grounds you, water moves beside you, and light shifts through the day. The structure sits low and grounded, opening slowly toward quieter, more intimate corners. Streams pass through the house, carrying sound and calm, shaping how one moves through and inhabits each space. This project unfolds through time and seasons where everyday moments stay close to the rhythm of the landscape.

The process feels strangely familiar, almost like where we began two years ago. Testing, cutting, assembling, learning again.
We are on a new journey. Growing these relics slowly and finding their place in the world.

As the mycelium components gradually return to the earth, restoration takes the form of regrowth rather than repair. The terracotta gabion foundation at the base acts as a scaffold for vegetation to take hold, allowing each relic to function as a self-contained micro-ecosystem.

Many first encountered our work through MycoBlox: a 1.5 kg block capable of holding 1.5 tonnes in compressive loads. And many stayed because they believe building can be gentler on the planet.
The block was never the end goal. It was the beginning of a larger conversation about regenerative practices, about systems rather than objects, about building with mycelium
composites where fabrication gives way to cultivation, and time becomes part of the structure itself.
This year, we’ve returned to process. Back to the drawing board, back to the workshop and back to the lab. We’re Testing. Growing. Learning.
We’re beginning this year with Grown Relics, ephemeral landscape forms for rest and inhabitation. They sit somewhere between object and architecture.
Between monument and ecosystem.

The wooden frame is where this project began, not as a skeleton, but as a quiet agreement between structure and the grown material. The rhythm of the joinery draws from traditional hanok construction, where wood holds space through balance rather than force. This wall stands because many hands cared for it. and team.
Thank you to the construction team and, and to for shaping the context that allowed this work to grow.
Special thanks to and the SMG team

In the absence of national participation from India and Indonesia, and were proud to present the MycoMuseum as part of Material Bank: Matters Make Sense — a thought-provoking curation led by Prof. Ingrid Paoletti, Prof. Stefano Capolongo, Nobel laureate Konstantin Novoselov, and scenographer Margherita Palli Rota. Our project was one of the few selected through the Space for Ideas Open Call — and what a space it has become for us!
As a young architecture practice, this opportunity and the experience of opening week have been deeply meaningful. To exhibit in the heart of the Arsenale, alongside the world’s most celebrated architects and visionary practices feels surreal. This moment — this platform — means everything to us. It’s a humbling and unforgettable milestone in our journey.
Here’s to what we hope is just the beginning — a quiet, resilient revolution in India’s design landscape — rooted in collaborations, material innovation, ecological thinking, and bold ideas.
