僕の絵のルーツは祖母．
早くに祖父を亡くした祖母は．
僕が小さい頃、休みのたびに．
僕を連れて、全国あちこち旅をしてました．
僕が子供の頃は．
今みたいにゲームなんてない．
祖母はいつも『鉛筆とスケッチブック』を．
準備してくれて．
電車の中で絵を描いてました．

僕が絵を描くきっかけは．

祖母に感謝感謝です．

僕の絵は円をベースに描いてます．
表面上に円が出てるものもありますが．
表面に出てないものも．
絵の奥、いわゆる下絵は円で構成してます．
なので、奥底に円を感じるかもしれません．
なぜ、円なのか、そこはまだ．
自分にも明確に分かってないのですが．
人間の根源と言いますか．
宇宙の神秘と言いますか．
円にパワーを感じます．
吸収する円もあれば．
分散する円もある．
そして、ご縁．

昔から絵を描くことは好きだったけど．
三十代後半に．
禁煙を始めて．
長らく描いてなかった．
絵を久しぶりに描いてみたんです．

最初は気晴らし程度だった絵．
そんな時、先輩から依頼を受けて描いた、この作品．
高杉晋作と縁のある地元の風景．
．
ここから、いろんなことが動き出して．
いろんな人と繋がるようになって．
少しずつ世界が広がり始めて．
いろんな人にサポートしてもらって．
いつの頃か、絵を描くことを求められるようになって．
自分の絵で誰かがちょっとでも幸せになれるのなら．
誰かのために絵を描きたいって思えるようになって．

長男が小学校に上がる前に．
縁もゆかりもない土地に移住しました．
何か惹かれるものがあって．
そこで出会った超有名なパン屋さん．
レジ袋廃止の時に紙袋を製作するということで．
絵を描かせていただきました．
ど素人の僕に。。。．
しかも、２種類も描かせていただいて．
お店の窓にも印刷していただいて．
この効果は凄かった！．
イベントに出ても、あそこのパン屋の絵だって言ってもらえるようになって．
お声掛けいただき、ほんとに感謝です．

いまは、ほんとに絵を描けることに幸せを感じてます．
