Okay so following yesterday’s story SO many of you were asking for hot weather baby tips so I’ve put all the best recommendations I received into one post.
1. Firstly there’s no doubt the best way to cool a baby’s room is with air con. The best tip is to get the room really cold before they go to sleep and then turn it off once they’re down or move it into your room.
2. Another really good hack is
getting one of those pram fans that attaches to the handle and wrapping it around the cot rim instead for nighttime.
3. UV protective pram covers are great for walks and naps in the heat and honestly make such a difference.
4. On the sun protection theme, a 50+ UPF hat that’s still pretty and breathable is worth having.
5. My child has sensitive skin and naturally all the suncream in Boots is sold out the second there’s a heatwave, but has been really good.
6. A 0.5 tog sleeping bag is ideal in this weather. do really good ones with temperature regulating, breathable fabric.
7. I’ve also just ordered some short sleeve sleep suits from because they feel much more practical in this heat than full sleepsuits. Why do they slightly remind me of A.C. Slater in Saved by the Bell though?
