We ordered the beef brisket tacos and grilled chicken burger as mains. Sides were frickles (AMAZING), buttermilk chicken tenders and skin on fries n gooey cheese. We were stuffed little piggies after this but still managed to enjoy the Basque cheesecake for desert.

Seriously though, I’d tried this carrier once, found it too heavy and sore and gave up. Yesterday I decided to give it a go and would have been delighted even to manage 30 minutes.
Never did I expect to make it to (almost!!) the top of Bennachie while out solo with my son.
Also EVERYONE on the hike yesterday was soooo kind - even helping me pick up a smashed glass Tupperware and encouraging me when I probably looked like I was about to give up ♥️
I don’t think I’ll ever be hiking Munros with my toddlers, but I’m really proud of this one and it made me realise…
We can often do more than we assume we are capable of!! 🏔️

I truly love being in Aberdeenshire, the farming culture & animals, how friendly people are, and the beautiful surroundings we live near!! 🐄🌱
My 3 year old girly wants to be a ‘pink’ farmer when she grows up so we literally just sat on the wall for 40 minutes watching this in awe. Then eventually headed to Catterline Bay which is a really lovely small beach near Aberdeen.
The farmer’s wife then happened to be there as we were driving past and was so kind allowing us to meet the calf - something I don’t think we will ever forget 🥹

Welcome to Salen, a coastal village on the Ardnamurchan peninsula, overlooking Salen Bay - an inlet of the sea loch, Loch Sunart. It’s a really cute Scottish village to visit if you are on the west coast! ⚓️
The walk itself is short and easy at just 1.5km through woodland paths!
You’ll also find a cosy pub which is a great spot for ending your trip.

Here are the details for the most recent Scottish Munro we hiked - Bynack More. Also passing Lochan Uaine.
This is a really nice & also very manageable hike in Aviemore ⛰️ the most difficult thing is the length at 23km, so while the paths are fairly straight forward, it does require a good level of fitness and some experience hiking.
I loveeeeed this walk, although it was fairly busy being a bank holiday, it was very beautiful and nothing beats the fresh air quite literally blasting you all day 😂🥾
As we walked the paths, you could hear so many bird sounds in a way I’ve not actually experienced before 🐦⬛
It’s also important to remember maps, plenty good & water, and practical gear when you’re hiking. The conditions up the mountains in Scotland can change really quickly and it’s important to stay safe. Clothes I’m wearing are ad gifted from.

The sun is out in Aberdeenshire which means it’s time for my annual visit to this iconic glen once more 🏴☀️ there truly is no place like it!!
Funnily enough finding snow white’s cottage in the woods was a new one for me - I had never noticed it before. The dwarfs were having a wee facelift but you could still take the long way up behind the steps. I’m sure they will have had their glow up by now! 🎨
So many people who grew up in Scotland have hilarious memories of this place, and as much as we laugh about it, I genuinely love a day trip here!!
It’s actually a really good place to go with children near Aberdeen. Basically Scotland’s answer to Disneyland, am I correct? 🏰
