It also took me ages to upload this as I was looking for that perfect modern saree song which for me atm is Pardesiya but also something that represented the 90's feel of this sharara saree outfit designed by and what better than Jiya Jale.
That song was pure fire - the scenery, the outfit, the energy so the backdrop of Banff's Lake Minnewaka was PERFECT for living out that Bollywood cinematic dream!
There was also something about this whole look that reminded me of Poo in K3G song "You are my soniya" but if that outfit was desi instead!!

Alex was sorting Puddings breakfast out and I was upstairs just getting ready for the day. Even though we had been trying it came as a shock - I just couldn't believe it (mainly because I actually read the test a few days earlier completely wrong - story for another day). I didn't think properly just turned camera on as wanted to capture my initial reaction and then needed to just tell Alex. I didn't even think straight to angle to camera properly nor really think about how to tell him. Just wanted to make sure that got his reaction and this video is something I will cherish forever.
Anyways - I just shouted down the stairs that I needed him to come up and his response "if it's a spider I will sort it later" little did he know definitely wasn't spider. When he came up this is what happened.....
So this is it just us one weekday morning, me in my tatty pjs, Alex doing the morning routine with Pudding and finding out we are pregnant!
P.S We spent the rest of the day in shock not knowing what to do asking one another "Ok no what do we do"... followed by me taking another 3 test to just make sure I wasn't reading them wrong. I also pretty much took one every few days after that.

It's been a busy week from shooting mini Diwali Series for you guys with one of fave humans to attending Diwali Soiree and covering party with - with very long days and nights I am super grateful for it. I also think I spent more time with than Alex ❤️. Also squeezed in teaching a Diwali Bhangra special class for which was full of energy. Managed to also do some cute decor at home to make it festive.
Today was very much about me and Alex going down to the midland seeing the family and beautiful nephews (missing Pudding though as well as my Masi and cousin) and of course eating my Mum's food because what is Diwali without FOOD. I also managed to knock up my pepper and garlic mogo.
Now on the drive back to Cardiff!! How was your Diwali? What did you guys get up to?
I also know this time of year can be tough for some people. Some have lost a loved one, some are dealing with grief, some have to spend it alone and some find it stressful with family politics - I have felt all these at some point and hope that the next one is better and that the light shines for you tomorrow.

25ml Saffron & Cardamom Syrup
20ml Fresh lemon juice
75ml Mango nectar
75ml Sparkling water (or soda)
Ice cubes

1. Build all ingredients in a wine glass with ice.
2. Stir gently.
3. Garnish with a golden touch and serve chilled.

I had coriander crisis (I HATE IT)! Sun’s “trust the process” attitude, and Maz & Sun’s taste test behind the camera (because quality control matters 😉), this drink ended up being a total hit!

Diwali Mocktail 1 - Flavour profile
Zesty, herbal, and gently spiced with a refreshing lift.( or make it spicier like Sun has)
*Ingredients*:
25ml Chilli & Coriander Syrup
25ml Fresh lime juice
100ml Cloudy apple juice
Top with soda water
Ice cubes
*Garnish*:
Coriander sprig
Thin slice of red chilli (to represent the flame of a diya)
*Method*:
1. Shake syrup, lime juice, and apple juice with ice.
2. Strain into an ice-filled highball.
3. Top with soda and stir lightly.
4. Garnish and serve bright.
