🇨🇦 Koh Phi Phi was our following stop. The paradisiacal Thai island was our second destination. Koh phi phi has attractions for everyone. Parties all night and romantic restaurants have its space at the shore. During the day, people do full day trips on boats. If you’re in a big group, ask for a discount! Just make sure it’s a reputable company and that it stops at the places you want. ☀️🏖

🇧🇷 Koh Lanta foi nossa primeira parada da Tailândia. Uma ilha até que grande, com infra-estrutura razoável e preços pra todos os bolsos.
É recomendada principalmente pra quem quer relaxar e aproveitar os dias explorando as praias locais e andando de scooter. As coisas são meio longe umas das outras, então a scooter é necessária! Eles não são muito rígidos com a habilitação, mas de vez em quando rolam umas blitz.
Entre as praias da ilha, nossa favorita foi Kantiang Bay, a praia tinha uma área boa pra andar, era boa pra mergulho, tinha poucas pedras e era limpa (comparada às outras). Havia também um barzinho por lá (why not bar) que parecia ter uma vibe bem legal.
Não fizemos os passeios porque achamos que seria mais do mesmo, e já faríamos alguns em Phi Phi e Ao Nang.
De lá é fácil ir pra: Krabi, Ao Nang, Koh Phi Phi.

🇦🇺 Koh Lanta was our first stop in Thailand. Medium-size island, has a good structure and a wide range of options for every budget.
It’s recommended for those who want to chill out, rent a scooter and explore the local beaches. The scooter is essential once things are far from each other. They are not very rigid about the driver license, but there’sa blitz every now and then. (But you can get taxis or tuk tuks too)
Our favourite spot on the island was Kantiang Bay. It is cleaner than the other beaches, good for swimming and doesn’t have rocks. There is also a bar if you want a drink or snack.
We didn’t do any day trip because we were doing a few in Phi Phi and Ao Nang.
From Koh Lanta, it’s easy to go to Phi Phi, Krabi Town and Ao Nang.

🇦🇺 Did you know that New South Wales state has much more besides Sydney city and the Opera House?
🐪🐬🏖One of my favourite places here in NSW is Port Stephens, where on summer time you can enjoy beautiful beaches, a camel ride, go to the sand dunes, see dolphins and much more!
🐋But it was winter when I fell in love by this place! It is from here that the best whale watching tour departs (check the whale pic we’ve posted before!!) and if you got luck you’ll see one or another dolphin around!
😍🥰 However, it was this amazing sunset that won me over, right in a place we’ve stopped by chance!!!

Tivemos a sorte de encontrá-lo na nossa última viagem. Achar um desses na natureza não é fácil, já que atualmente a população deles é bem reduzida (cerca de 17000) e eles têm hábitos noturnos.
Ele é bem desconfiado, mas depois que se acostuma com você interage bastante! 🍟🚫Apesar disso, por favor, não dê comida pra chamar a atenção deles e tirar uma selfie! Comida humana prejudica a saúde deles e diminui sua expectativa de vida, fora que eles param de caçar e ficam dependentes disso. 😁 Everyone has probably seen at least once this smiley animal in pictures, the Quokka.
We were lucky enough to find one in our last trip. Finding one of those in nature is not easy, once their actual population is quite reduced (estimated on 17000) and they are mainly nocturnal.
They are quite suspicious at first, but as time goes they interact quite a lot!
🍟🚫 Please don’t give them human food to get their attention towards a selfie! Our food is detrimental to the Quokka’s health, reducing their life expectation, and they also become “lazy”, not looking for food by themselves. Nesse dia da foto, fomos pra Rottnest Island, uma ilha cheia de contato com a natureza, e conhecida mundialmente por ser lar dos Quokkas!
🐍Vimos cobras, golfinhos, leões marinhos, uma baleia, águias... e o mais legal de tudo, todos em seu habitat natural.
🚲 Pra quem gosta de pedalar, o lugar é um paraíso! Eles alugam bicicletas por $20 e você pode passar o dia explorando a ilha, a seu tempo.
🚌 Pra quem não tem tanta disposição assim, tem um ônibus com 20 paradas ao redor da ilha e que passa de meia em meia hora, o dia todo.
Quem quiser mais dicas (como dias mais baratos, melhor época do ano, como se hospedar na ilha e etc) é só chamar, esse é um destino que adoramos falar sobre 😍

This picture was taken in Rottnest Island, an island full of nature and very well preserved, worldly known as home of the cute Quokka!
🐍 Besides them, we also saw dolphins, sea lions, hawks, a whale and even snakes!!!! The best part is that they were all in their natural habitat.
🚴 For those who love cycling, you can rent a bicycle for as cheap as $20 and explore the whole island by yourself.
🚌 If you wanna save your energy for the nature, there is a hop-on/hop-off bus with 20 stops coming around every 30min.
