It’s amazing to sleep next to a melting glacier, during the night you can hear terrible noises comes from it: the melting ice makes dull noises and sudden splits. I experienced fearness maybe for one of the first time on mountains. Fortunately I tried to focus to the millions stars above me to get relaxed: the Milky Way shone like I’ve never seen before and a sense of peace came back to me.
By 2030 this glacier will disappear completely and will not cry anymore, it will become just a common lake like so many others in the Alps and it will remain only the memory of its lost beauty.
