Ten years ago, I quit my job as a Medical Scientist.
I didn’t have a business plan. I didn’t know what kind of photographer I would become. I didn’t even know if it would work.
For the first time in my life, I stopped trying to control everything.
I trusted God.
I trusted my actions.
And I trusted that somehow, I would be okay.
A few months later, I was scrolling through Facebook when I saw an ad for Lapland, Finland. A place I’d never considered visiting. A place that felt like a dream.
Most people would have admired it and kept scrolling.
Instead, I bought a ticket.
No overthinking.
No guarantees.
Just a simple thought:
“Let’s go.”
That trip changed more than my location. It changed me.
I met extraordinary people, chased the Aurora Borealis across frozen landscapes, skied beneath moonlit skies, and realised that the most important journeys aren’t the ones across the world.
They’re the ones within ourselves.
Looking back, Finland wasn’t the destination.
It was permission.
Permission to choose myself.
Permission to trust the unknown.
Permission to live fully instead of waiting for the perfect moment.
Today, nearly ten years later, I can feel that same energy returning.
A new chapter.
A new vision.
A new version of me.
Because every beautiful thing in my life began the same way:
With uncertainty.
With faith.
And with one decision to take the first step before I could see the entire path.

This is a WOW and humbling moment in my life, a long with Graduation Day. The first time I received an email from Vogue I had thought it was a scam, how could something I’ve wanted for around 4 years ago finally come true?
I had the opportunity to be published in Vogue Australia, although the July issue was offered, in my heart I knew the September Issue was the one I needed to be in.
September marks brings a sense of change and of “ New beginnings”. A time of re-engaging with the world and intellect. A fresh start whether be work, relationships, academics, politics, or fashion.
I am hoping everyone receives the blessings and the good vibes that come with new beginnings, an opportunity of growth, new loves, new perspectives, new horizons and new world.
I am really looking forward to what is ahead of me, I have great plans in the making. Thank you to everyone who has supported me, specially when I first started holding a camera.
