Ever left a class feeling worse about your practice than when you arrived? 🤍

Comparison is one of the quietest struggles on the mat. We look at the handstand next to us, the deeper fold, the person who practices every day, and we start measuring our yoga against theirs.

The Bhagavad Gita offers another way: Svadharma, your own nature, your own path. Your body, your capacity, your responsibilities and your practice are yours. They were never meant to look like someone else’s.

This idea sits at the heart of how we teach. In our 300-Hour Multistyle Teacher Training, we don’t train you to copy one “perfect” shape or one way of practicing. You learn Vinyasa, Hatha, Ashtanga and Yin, the dynamic and the still, so you can understand what your practice needs, and later, what each of your students needs.

Through our D.E.P.T.H. method, one principle guides it all: Truth, honesty over performance. That means teaching what’s real about a posture, including its limits and who it may not serve. Alongside philosophy, anatomy and teaching methodology, it’s how you go from practicing to truly teaching.

Acro yoga has a completely different way of teaching you about movement.

It’s not just about the shapes or how long you can hold a position. It’s about learning to trust someone, communicate without always using words, and understand how your body responds to another person’s movement.

Sometimes you lift, sometimes you get lifted. Sometimes you lose the balance, laugh, come back and try again.

And that’s probably my favourite part of it — there’s no perfect flow. You have to listen, adjust, and work together in every moment.

When both people stop trying to control the movement and start listening to each other, the practice becomes much more effortless.

Just movement, trust, a little bit of play, and a lot of falling and trying again. 🙏

Most of us come to yoga through the body. But the Gita reminds us that the practice is about freedom: not from the world, but from being bound by it.

Krishna describes three paths. Karma, the path of action. Jùāna, the path of knowledge. Bhakti, the path of devotion. They are not separate. Each one supports the others.

You don’t need to choose one forever. Some days you need to show up and do the work. Some days you need to remember who you are beneath the effort. Some days you just need to let go.

Which one is calling you right now? 👇

You’ve said “Chaturanga” a thousand times. Do you know what it means? 🤔

Chatur = four
Anga = limb
Danda = staff
Asana = pose

Four-limbed staff pose. Your body is one straight line, held up by four limbs.

Here’s the thing: Sanskrit pose names aren’t random. They describe exactly what your body is doing: which direction you face, which limbs you use, what shape you make, and sometimes which animal you become. 🐍🕊️🐢

Once you know the building blocks, you stop memorizing poses and start reading them.

Swipe through for body parts, animals, directions, numbers, and shapes, then try it yourself 👇

Pick a pose you practice daily and decode it in the comments. We’ll tell you if you got it right ✨

Most people meet yoga as a workout. But the poses are the newest part of the story.

Long before the mat, the Upanishads asked a simple question: Who am I beneath body and mind?

Everything after that was an answer. The Gita answered through action, devotion, and knowledge. Patanjali answered by stilling the mind. Hatha yoga answered through the body.

Then, in the last hundred years, yoga traveled the world and became mostly physical. Nothing is wrong with that. But the question is still there, under every pose.

Which era surprised you most? Tell me in the comments 👇

Save this for your next class, and send it to a student who’s ready to go deeper.

Training is where you begin. Mentorship is where you grow into your voice.

Still guessing your sequencing, second-guessing your adjustments, or blanking on what to say? That’s not a confidence problem — it’s a guidance problem, and it’s exactly what this is for.

Breath first. Reason before order. Truth over flattery.

If you’re ready to take your teaching deeper, DM me “MENTOR”.

Most teachers freeze when they have to adjust someone in a one-leg balance. 🦵

Because it’s not just about the stretch. The student can fall.

My rule: make the posture stable first. Only then add the second layer, whether that’s the hamstring, a backbend, or something else.

Hands-on adjustment isn’t pulling or pushing. It’s coordination between you and your student, and that’s what we’ll practice together.

Galavasana has always been one of my favourite poses — not for the challenge of the arm balance, but for the story behind it.

Galava was a sage who owed his guru a debt he could never truly repay. He was asked for the impossible — 800 moon-white horses, dark as night. He searched. He struggled. He almost gave up.

That’s what this pose asks of you too.

One leg wrapped around the arm, the shin pinning you in place, your whole balance resting on something that feels like it shouldn’t hold you. You search for stability in a shape with none to spare.

And somehow — you find it. Not because it becomes easy. Because you stay in it anyway.

That’s Galavasana. That’s the debt. That’s the practice.

What’s the pose that’s taught you the most? Tell me below. 👇

Two dates. One 50-hour training built entirely around a single skill: the adjustment.

Beyond the Asana runs twice in 2027 — January 20–26 and September 15–21 — at The Path in Canggu, Bali. Five focused days on hands-on adjustment technique, the anatomy behind it, and the ethics of touch that a lot of trainings skip.

Understand the asana. Master the adjustment.

Max 15 students per training. Link in bio to reserve your spot.

Most 300-hour trainings deepen Vinyasa and Ashtanga and call it done. Ours goes further — six modules covering Vinyasa Flow & Hatha, Ashtanga & Yin, Pranayama & Meditation, Philosophy, functional Anatomy & Alignment, and Teaching Methodology, taught hands-on by Ankit and Hannah on the banks of the Ganga.

Rishikesh, April 1–25, 2027. Capped at 12 students, so this isn’t a training where you disappear into a crowd — every adjustment, every correction, is for you specifically. Includes Acro Yoga and Thai Yoga Massage workshops, sacred excursions to Ganga Aarti and Kunjapuri, and your RYT 300 on completion.

Can’t make the full month work? A hybrid option lets you join us in person April 1–18, then finish the training from home.
