My dream came true when I was 16 years old. That was the time I first wore Slovenian national team jersey. I never imagined that in 17 years of playing for Slovenia I will be able to experience so many crazy moments and games. Like I mentioned many times beforeโฆthe most beautiful emotions are always lived when you play for your national team๐ธ๐ฎโค๏ธโฆI cannot describe how grateful and proud I am to participate in all big competitions that Slovenia played in last 17 years. 5 European championships and the most beautiful one played at home in 2022, 4 World Championships and Olympic games in Paris this year. I lived it allโฆit wasnโt always easy, we had many hard and tough defeats, but we also had many great victoriesโฆbut at the end..that doesnโt count that much as all the memories and people I met during all these yearsโฆcoaches, physios, officials and others..but mostly all the players of different generations that were at some point part of the national team. It really was special๐คฉ! Thank you for letting me be your captain for 7 years. I always tried to be the best version of myself for the team. I surly did mistakes and I had some crazy faces on the court, but this was always because of this pride and desire to play for my country the best I could at that moment! Itโs hard to say goodbyeโฆhonestlyโฆbut I do it with easier heart, knowing that I always gave everything that I could for this national team. At some point it has to end..and I think Olympic games were also the best way possible to do it๐ซถ๐ผ!
Thank you for everything, thanks again to all the girls in the national team and all the staff, it really was an amazing ride. All the love for my small and beautiful Slovenia, always in my โค๏ธ!
