Ubicada en la costa de Oaxaca, Casa Volta destaca por sus tres bóvedas de ladrillo que, a primera vista, parecen flotar en medio de la densa vegetación. Al seguir el sendero, el visitante se adentra en la densa vegetación y al abrirse un claro, encuentra un largo estanque rodeado de pórticos que brindan la bienvenida. La casa presenta una disposición rectilínea y simétrica, con seis espacios rectangulares: tres patios y tres áreas techadas por las bóvedas. Las habitaciones y áreas comunes están distribuidas alrededor de un estanque que simboliza la cercanía del mar. Por su parte, la materialidad responde a una solución económica y práctica, aprovechando ladrillos de desperdicio obtenidos de la Fundación Casa Wabi y concreto pigmentado en tonos tierra. Las bóvedas y celosías permiten la ventilación constante, y el agua refresca el exterior, mitigando el clima cálido y húmedo; creando un refugio que combina el orden arquitectónico con la naturaleza circundante.
