Ik ben Alyssa, fotografe uit Delft. Mijn werk beweegt zich tussen documentaire, portret en fine art.
Een tijdlang stond mijn leven volledig in het teken van tennis. Presteren, winnen, doorgaan. Tot ik merkte dat ik iets anders nodig had. Ik kocht een camera, zonder precies te weten waarom. Pas later begreep ik dat ik zocht naar vertraging, naar voelen, naar iets om vast te leggen wat anders zomaar verdwijnt.
Wat ik vroeger in sport zocht, vind ik nu in het vastleggen van rauwe, onbevangen momenten. In een oogopslag, een landschap, een ontmoeting. Zoals die met Emma (89), die ik portretteerde en mij vertelde dat het geheim van een lang leven โliefdeโ is. Zulke momenten zijn waarom ik fotografeer.
