One thing I loved about Lena and Mark’s day was how relaxed it felt.

There was no rushing from place to place or sticking to a packed timeline. We spent the day exploring Yosemite, taking in the views, and making the most of the experience together.

The photos are obviously a huge part of it, but days like this are about so much more than that! They’re about slowing down, being present, and creating memories in nature.

Jessica and Zack’s Yosemite elopement is one I’ll never get tired of looking back on!

It was just the two of them and their two closest friends as they exchanged vows at Taft Point while the sun started to set. After, we headed to Glacier Point for sunset and lantern photos that are some of my all-time favorites.

Their day was recently featured on, and it’s easy to see why!

Trystan pulled off the sweetest surprise proposal for Gabi at sunrise at Tunnel View. 🌄

She was completely shocked, and their excitement was contagious from the very first moment. After the proposal, we spent the morning exploring Yosemite Valley and finished at one of my favorite hidden spots in the park.

I’ve been loving all of the Yosemite elopements lately!

June is hands-down my favorite time of year in the park. The weather is amazing, the waterfalls are still flowing strong, and you can even float down the Merced River as part of your adventure.

One Yosemite tip if you’re visiting this summer: get to the park early! Parking fills up fast, and entrance lines can get long. I always recommend arriving before 7am if you can.

If you’re planning a Yosemite elopement, engagement, or family trip this summer, I’d love to help you make the most of your time here! Get in touch to learn more.

Ryan and Kenia wanted an elopement that felt simple, relaxed, and surrounded by beautiful views.

We started at Cinnamon Bear Inn with a first look and letter reading before heading to Convict Lake for a lakeside ceremony. After celebrating with cake, we wrapped up the evening at Hot Creek.

We had beautiful views and plenty of time to enjoy every part of it!

Brianna and Paul started their Yosemite elopement day with the most beautiful sunrise at Glacier Point. 🌄

Later, Brianna changed into a second dress and we spent the morning exploring Tunnel View and Yosemite Valley. So much good light, incredible views, and plenty of time to soak it all in!

Sunrise at Glacier Point with couples who are fully down to just go with the flow will always be one of my favorite kinds of sessions!!

Morgan + Chad met in high school after getting set up as each other’s prom dates, did long distance for 7 years, and then finally got to celebrate this season together in Yosemite. We spent the morning exploring Glacier Point, soaking in the views, and chasing the beautiful summer sunrise light.

If Yosemite has been on your list for engagement photos, sunrise is always worth the early wake-up call. Contact me to learn more about my engagement photography services!

If you’ve ever wondered what an 8-hour elopement in a national park looks like… this one’s for you. 🌲✨

Amanda and Grant wanted their wedding day to feel relaxed, meaningful, and full of nature’s beauty, so they kept it small—just their eight closest loved ones. Over eight hours, they celebrated their love, explored Yosemite, and stole quiet moments alone to soak it all in.

Here’s how their day flowed👇 (📌 SAVE this for inspiration when planning your own elopement adventure!)

🌄 Sunrise first look & private vows at Glacier Point – starting your day with a quiet moment together sets the tone and gives you that gorgeous morning light.
⛰️ Exploring iconic spots – Tunnel View and El Capitan Meadow provided natural backdrops and effortless photo opportunities.
💍 Late-morning ceremony in the valley – timing that feels calm, not rushed, and plenty of space for all your favorite people.
🧺 Family photos + cozy picnic – mid-day breaks are perfect for refueling and soaking in meaningful moments. Personal touches, like a cake with a tiny dog figurine, make it extra special. 🐾🎂
🏮Sunset hike to Taft Point + lantern photos – ending the day with adventure and golden light creates unforgettable memories (and unreal photos!)

Amanda and Grant’s day shows how a little planning, a flexible timeline, intentional breaks, and a vendor Dream team can make an elopement feel effortless, personal, and magical from sunrise to sunset. 🙌🥰

Anna & Caleb exchanged their vows at Glacier Point with the sun rising behind Half Dome, and it was everything! The stillness of the morning, the way the light poured over the valley, and the joy between them made this one of those unforgettable moments that remind me why I love being an elopement photographer’!

If you’ve been dreaming about a day that feels intimate, adventurous, and true to you, consider a sunrise ceremony in Yosemite—it’s one of the best elopement ideas for couples who want breathtaking views and a calm, meaningful start to their day. 🌄💍

Nathan & Cassie’s Yosemite elopement was all about blending their families and keeping the day as easy and meaningful as possible. ✨ They exchanged vows at sunrise with Tunnel View glowing in the background, shared sweet moments by the river, and took time for the most important part being fully present with each other and their family. 🫶🏼 This elopement was proof that you don’t need a big wedding to have a beautiful, emotional day. Just love, intention, and a jaw-dropping view. 🌲💍
