one roll of shot in Morocco
in july 2025 I had the chance to photograph some stunning dancers of in monaco
afro-indigenous dance in cartagena, colombia

shot analogue on fujicolor 100, 2025

I had the chance to shoot this roll of Fujicolor 100 in Colombia when I encountered an Afro-Indigenous dance performance. I rarely work in color for dance photography, but the vibrancy felt exactly right.

The performance took place at Plaza de Bolívar in Cartagena, directly in front of the former Palace of the Inquisition — a site historically tied to colonial violence and repression, giving the dance an added political and symbolic weight.
Well, These are my obligatory curated highlights and pseudo-deep summary of my year 2025. I guess I could go into details now, list the exhibitions I opened, the countries I went to, the family trauma i started to unveil. I could talk about getting diagnosed with cancer.

But honestly - to sum this up: it was just a fucking scary & humbling year for me. I hit not only my goals, but personal limits.

Next year I turn 30, and maybe this is what actually growing up feels like. Not the big milestones, but the quiet introspective & realization of how fragile, demanding and complex life can be.

This strange simultaneity of it: moments of lightness, warmth, laughter, beauty. holding exhaustion & gratitude at the same time, fear & hope, the light & the dark. Not choosing between, but learning to carry it all – sometimes at once.

Social media leaves little room for nuance; for fear, for doubt, for exhaustion – for the things that actually shape us. All I really want to say is that I hope the next year brings more calm within myself, and more faith & trust that things are going to be alright. I really do.

Always with the deepest gratitude to the people in my life who share their light & warmth with me. Thank you. I love you. ☀️

(Ah! Btw. I started to pursuit my lifelong dream of learning to play the drums this year – so yep, in 2026 i‘ll become a rockstar & finally go on tour – just so you know.)
We are deeply thrilled to announce that „barefoot in the grass“ will be part of the upcoming exhibition “PLAYLIST” at — opening October 18, 2025 — not only featuring 20 original Polaroids, but also as a masterfully handcrafted artist’s book designed by & at the wonderful in Tuscany.

We had the pleasure of being invited into Lotta’s magical workshop, surrounded by the scent of paper, linen and — not to forget — the gentle presence of her cats, who loyally supervised every binding step. Together we crafted a true piece of bookbinding art: a half-linen hardcover, embossed with an old lead typesetting whose origin and even name remains a mystery.

Printed by Offizin Scheufele on 100 gsm the book embraces the best qualities of two different bindings. A Japanese block binding, hand-sewn with a red thread, then carefully integrated into the cover board as a Swiss binding, creating a unique hinge-like construction that allows the book to open ideally despite its Japanese spine. The result is a tactile and mechanical solution: precision and emotion held together in one gesture.

We deliberately chose not to present the Polaroids as scans; instead, they are emancipated from the original format and shown in 18×18 cm, with the book’s format and layout serving as the sole reference to the Polaroid medium itself.

For the architecture of the book; linen, papers, threads – we worked monochromatically in shades of red: the color of passion, courage & transformation. White lacquer typography for Anastasiia’s text is used to remain contemporary and distinct from the sentimental clichés usually tied to the subject of love.

Using various binding prototypes and paper versions helped us to evaluate which configurations might best translate into a future publisher’s edition.

We couldn’t be more proud of this beautiful book, presenting the complete series of 200 images alongside 20 original Polaroids in the upcoming exhibition. And truly, there could be no better occasion to premiere it than within the invitation by ☀️🌈
We are pleased to announce that the new photographic series “barefoot in the grass” by will be shown to the public for the very first time at within the „PLAYLIST“ exhibition opening October 18, 2025 — featuring a selection of original Polaroids. The full series contains 200 photographs.

Falling in love is a complex and layered emotional experience — an intoxicating interplay of longing, vulnerability, and loss of control. Alongside joy and bliss live melancholy, euphoria, fear of loss, uncertainty, and hope. barefoot in the grass seeks to translate these emotions visually through a series of analogue impressions that invite viewers into the depth of these feelings.

Created in close collaboration with his partner and fellow artist this work is a feminist exploration of intimacy and authorship. She is not portrayed as a muse but as the main protagonist and co-creator, using the gaze of the camera as a means of reclaiming female self-determination within patriarchal and heteronormative structures. The series challenges the camera to undergo a paradigm shift and asks: Who looks? Who is being seen — and how? Who defines intimacy? What does a modern relationship between man and woman mean today?

Photographed over the course of one year — across the globe — the work unfolds in two emotional dimensions: shared intimacy and solitary reflection. These dual perspectives explore connection and absence, closeness and self-awareness.

Entirely shot on analogue Polaroid film, the project embraces imperfection, light leaks, and unpredictability as integral parts of its concept. Each photograph exists only once — fleeting, raw, and unrepeatable — mirroring love itself: fragile, distorted by perception, and profoundly human.

barefoot in the grass is a testimony to life – to imperfection, embracing a lack of control to face the inevitability of change. And yet these images are not a personal story about two individuals; its figures remain interchangeable. They stand as a visual documentation of this very particular, yet profoundly common phenomenon of falling in love.
