✨Here’s our recipe:
1 cup fresh pine needles -we used ponderosa pine but any edible conifer will do
2 cups filtered water
2 tablespoons raw honey
✨Mix all ingredients together, give it a shake to mix the honey and watch the magic unfold! *Side note, don’t fill the water to the very top, you’ll need room for the bubbles to form;)
✨Pine needles contain a natural yeast and when mixed with sugar and water the beautiful fermentation process begins! The yeast eats the sugar and in about 3-5 days you see the bubbles begin to form and your “soda” is ready to drink! We squeezed in some lime for extra flavor!

✨We like to make sure we get plenty of downtime, outside fresh air everyday-despite the weather, and keeping an intentional flow that allows for rest, fun, presence, and community ❤️
✨Preheat oven to 250. In a large bowl mix in 4 cups of flour, 1 cup of salt, and 1 3/4 cups of warm water. Once dough is mixed, knead for a minute or two to get the perfect consistency.
✨If dough is sticky, add more flour, if dough is too dry add in more water.
✨Transfer dough to parchment paper and begin your cookie cutter designs! We kept ours at about 1/2 inch thick.
✨Don’t forget to poke holes if you’d like to hang these as ornaments. Place parchment paper on baking sheet and bake for 2 to 2 1/2 hours (depending on thickness).
