C’est l’expérience singulière que m'a offerte Afghani Wood de la maison
En me penchant sur cette création, j'étais curieux de voir comment la maison aborderait l'accord classique de la rose et du bois.
L'architecture m'a surpris par sa justesse.
Tout part avec envolée d'huile de pin, à la fois vive, résineuse et altière.
C'est une entrée en matière verticale, texturée, qui pose immédiatement un décor sauvage et montagnard.
C’est au cœur de son développement que l'œuvre révèle sa véritable complexité.
Un travail d'orfèvre réunissant cinq variétés distinctes de roses sourcées dans les contreforts de l'Himalaya.
Parmi elles, la rose afghane se détache, imposant ses facettes charnues, presque sombres et épicées.
Sur ma peau, j’ai la sensation d’une éclosion au ralenti, les pétales semblent se déployer l'un après l'autre, offrant des nuances tour à tour veloutées et miellées, avec une naturalité assez déconcertante.
Et puis vient l'ancrage, la colonne vertébrale de l'extrait.
Pour asseoir cette fragilité florale, la formule convoque deux qualités exceptionnelles de bois d'agar (oud) d'Indonésie.
Ce que j'admire le plus dans cette construction, c'est l'équilibre des forces, la profondeur boisée et l'animalité contenue de l'oud ne phagocytent jamais les fleurs.
Elles les subliment, soutenues par un socle dense de muscs et un complexe de résines qui se dévoilent couche par couche.
L'évolution est poétique, d'une lenteur fascinante.
C'est un parfum qui murmure avant d'imposer son empreinte, avec une ténacité remarquable le sillage tient allègrement au-delà des dix heures sans que l'équilibre des matières ne s'effondre.
Une composition dense, racée et farouchement indépendante, pensée pour les peaux qui n'ont pas peur des sillages de caractère.
C’est le genre de flacon vers lequel je reviens les soirs où je cherche une émotion brute, l'insistance lente d'une résine qui fond sur l'écorce.
