Freddie: “I really enjoyed the opportunity to learn and connect with organizers in the Alliance from across the country. I discovered so much about their experiences and expertise and so many things I can apply to our work at Chicago Votes. The trainings were straightforward and outlined the basics of organizing and how to build power. Grateful for such an enlightening experience!”
Tre: “I loved learning how exploring someone’s self-interest is key for not only building a movement, but building collective power. It also gave me a renewed perspective on teaching people about their power while building the legacy of leadership. I’m excited to continue honoring that in our work to expand our base of organizers, community members, and creatives. Shoutout to the Alliance and all of the amazing orgs who left me feeling very moved and inspired!”
Kiara: “It doesn’t matter if you’re right … it matters how much power you have to change hearts and minds, and move people. This experience really vindicated my lived experience and earned knowledge.”
We are so honored that we were a part of this transformative experience, and enthusiastic to apply these teachings to our organizers, community, and supporters to build the world we wish to see. 💙
