All day every day 😫

Please consider fostering, adopting, or donating to the care of our cats. We can’t do this alone!

Another ear-tipped baddie released to their stomping grounds! No babies, no rabies 😎

Can you believe we sent 36 cats to the spay & neuter clinic this week?? That’s hundreds of cats saved from future suffering. You all help with it happen with your ongoing support - thank you!

If you’ve ever wondered if the cats that are TNR’d are safe….here you go! 🍽️

One of our trappers has already trapped 31 cats at this mobile home park. We suspect there are close to 50 in total. We trapped, sterilized, and returned most of the wary adult cats (kittens always go into foster - we make it work)

As a foster-based rescue, it is impossible for us to immediately find a landing spot for every cat. We wish we could, but it’s just not the reality. We already have 226+ cats in foster care!

We are grateful that the majority of people who call us for help are willing to help feed and care for the cats who get returned. If space opens up- we take them in! Cat gets injured? We re-trap and get them to the vet. Feeder has a hard time supplying food? We take food to them. A previously skittish cat decides they love humans? We put them on the list for foster placement.

Our primary mission is to reduce the overpopulation crisis, and TNR will help us get there. 💪

ISO: working cat placement! We have a handful of cats that are lingering in our care; not friendly enough to be adopted but cannot safely be returned to where they were found. If you have pests, we have a solution! These cats will ideally go to an indoor-only setting (brewery, warehouse, shop, etc). They are not aggressive but prefer to keep to themselves. We will guide you through the entire process!

Happy Monday!

The April report is in, and we are officially bursting at the seams! Kitten season means we took in over TWICE as many cats as we adopted out last month!

We are on par with 2025 YTD intake stats, and a sneaking suspicion we will surpass this total in May.

Do you have a bathroom or small room? Sign up to foster! You provide the space, we provide the rest. Visit our website to learn more. Fostering ✨literally✨ saves lives in a rescue like ours.

People often ask our fosters, "How do you give them up?"

The honest answer is that it never gets easy. Fostering is an act of intense emotional labor. It’s monitoring fragile kittens, managing medications, cleaning up messes, and loving a cat with everything you have, knowing your time together is temporary.

To the foster moms who willingly break their own hearts just a little bit so these cats can have a beautiful life: we see you, and we are endlessly grateful. Thank you for doing the hard part. HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!! 🌸

Meet the Purrl Jam Family — Mamasan, Dark Matter, Gremmie, and Bugs!

Earlier this summer, a skinny but obviously nursing tuxedo cat was spotted sunbathing in the PJHQ parking lot. With the help of, a local non-profit organization dedicated to humanely reducing Seattle’s feral cat population, Mamasan and her 3-boy litter were safely captured and brought inside.

Today, all four are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Mamasan, a true feral, has been ear-tipped and returned to her outdoor kingdom (where she’s still fed and cared for). Her tuxedo trilogy, meanwhile, are enjoying their stay at PJHQ until they’re ready for adoption through Alley Cat Project! Read their full story and learn how to get involved at the link in bio.

🐾 Foster's Pawrents Needed! 🐾 We’re seeking compassionate, patient foster homes for shy and sometimes spicy cats and kittens. Our rescue specializes in helping stray cats learn to trust and thrive in loving environments.

We support fosters with food and cover medical expenses for cats while in care. If you’ve got a quiet space and spare time, please consider volunteering with us! Link to Volunteer Application found in Bio.
