The Pride Festival 🌈 featured a variety of performances throughout the day, including appearances by Mark Keppel High School Theatre 🎭 students. Attendees also had the opportunity to meet and hear from many elected officials who came out to support 🫰 the event and engage 🤝 with the community.
Let’s give one more shout-out to 📣 to the City of Monterey Park, the Alhambra Teachers Association (especially teacher JENNIFER LANKFORD 👩🏫), and the Boys & Girls Clubs of West San Gabriel Valley & Eastside for organizing this welcoming and inclusive event for the San Gabriel Valley community. We also celebrate 🎉 the many volunteers, performers, community partners, and allies, and attendees who helped make the day a success. 🌟

🎵 Middle school students from across the district showcased their hard work through a variety of performances, from classical selections to contemporary favorites. The evening also featured a special performance by the Alhambra High School Jazz Band, whose talented musicians entertained the audience between ensemble sets. 🎷
👏 One of the highlights of the night was the combined performance of the Honor Orchestra and Honor Band. After months of after-school rehearsals, students united on stage for a powerful finale that demonstrated not only their musical growth, but also the teamwork and dedication that make AUSD’s music programs so special.
🎼 A special thank you to our dedicated music educators, including Honor Band Director Dave Batti 👨🏫, Marguerita Band Director Andrew Henkin 👨🏫, and all of the teachers who inspire and support our students throughout the year. Their commitment helps create opportunities that leave a lasting impact on our young musicians.
