Le linee delle 8C Competizione e 4C hanno tratto ispirazione da quelle originali della 33 Stradale.
La carrozzeria, disegnata da Franco Scaglione e costruita dalla carrozzeria Marazzi a Milano, รจ un capolavoro di equilibrio e purezza formale: linee bassissime, l'altezza complessiva รจ di soli 99 centimetri, muso affilato, fianchi scolpiti e le porte ad apertura a farfalla, la prima auto in assoluto ad averle, che contribuiscono a renderla unica e futuristica ancora oggi. Il corpo vettura รจ realizzato in alluminio, montato su un telaio tubolare leggerissimo.
Al centro della 33 Stradale trova posto un V8 aspirato da 2.0 litri, creato da Giuseppe Busso e poi realizzato dall'Autodelta, con derivazione da corsa, รจ capace di girare a regimi elevatissimi, (8800 giri/min) e di offrire un sound inconfondibile. Con un cambio a sei marce, una potenza di 230 Cavalli (270 Cv e 9600 giri nella versione da corsa) e un peso di 690 kg, la 33 garantiva prestazioni eccezionali per lโepoca, con una velocitร massima vicina ai 260 km/h.
L'Alfa Romeo realizzรฒ 18 telai con specifica Stradale (derivati dalla Tipo 33 da corsa ma adattati allโuso stradale).
Questi 18 telai furono poi destinati a due utilizzi diversi: la maggior parte usati per la vera e propria 33 Stradale, mentre altri vennero ceduti a carrozzieri e designer e utilizzati come base per concept car e one-off come la Carabo o l'Iguana. Questo rende la 33 Stradale ancora piรน rara: una parte della produzione รจ stata โsacrificataโ per creare alcune delle concept car piรน celebri della storia. ๐ฎ๐น
