Weil der Mensch nicht fliegen kann, geht er Schwimmen.
Vor dem Eröffnungsspiel bin ich noch etwas schwimmen gewesen.
Man erzählte mir, daß hier in der Seestrasse Nr. 6 einst Lukas Podolski zu seiner aktiven Zeit beim FC Bayern München wohnte.
Es fühlte sich so gut an, daß ich mir eine Challenge erdachte:
„Vor jedem Heimspiel im See schwimmen gehen!“
Ich freue mich jetzt schon auf die Rückrunde...
Zurück zum Spiel: es wird eine spannende Saison. Ab Platz zwei.

Liebe heute gehst du in dein 63 Spieljahr.
Ich bin wenige Jahre jünger, seit 35 Jahren begleite ich dich Samstag, oft Sonntag, Freitag, früher auch Montag und Mittwoch.
Ausnahmslos und diszipliniert meinen Job gemacht, dir immer gefolgt und dabeigewesen.
Das Herz einer ganzen Nation.
Was für eine Reise, was haben wir schon alles mit und durch den Fussball erlebt: 35 Jahre begleite ich den Fussball, habe durch ihn die Welt gesehen, alle getroffen. Ein reichhaltiges Leben durch Sport.
Große Siege, Kämpfe am Abgrund. Niemals aufgeben.
Es sind Kämpfe, wie wYr sie auch in unseren Leben kämpfen.
Jedes Jahr sind es ca. 50 Bundesliga-Spiele + Pokal, Championsleague + Länderspiele, Europa- + Weltmeisterschaften, mit täglichem Fussballspiel.
Rechnen wir jedes Jahr 100 Spiele: sind es über 3500 fotografierte Fussballspiele.
1391 Profispiele hat gespielt. Das ist neue Bestmarke, weltweit.
Drittplatzierter bislang 1283 Spiele.
Eines meiner ersten Spiele welches ich fotografiere, war das Abschiedsspiel von zu dem heute noch guter Kontak besteht.
Ich habe Fußball auf allen Kontinenten fotografiert:
Maradona,, das 7:1 gegen Brasilien und in Rio, in New York, Oliver Bierhoff in Wembley, Matthias Sammer bei Dynamo, Nordkorea gegen Irak in Pjöngjang, 20 Jahre.
Spiele für das Geschichtsbuch des Fußballs.
Wenn ich mir unter allen Spielen ein Spiel des Lebens aussuchen müsste, eines erscheint mir einmalig:
Ich würde aus (m)einem bestimmten Grund das Finale der Frauenfußball-Euro 2025 wählen:
War es das Spiel, war es der Mensch?
Der Tag war gut für ein großes Finale. Die Sonne brach für diese letzten goldenen Momente durch. Es fühlte sich symbolisch an. Ein großes Finale.
Und doch wünsche ich, das es noch gespielt wird.

The world premiere of the original documentary took place a few days ago in the Munich ASTOR Film Lounge in the ARRI cinema.
You can’t find a better title for this film, for the person and athlete Thomas Müller!
„Thomas Müller - One of a Kind“
I have had the privilege of photographing Thomas Müller since his first days at FC Bayern Munich and later in the DFB national teams.
The greatest thing for me is that throughout this entire career we have always treated each other with the utmost respect.
Thomas knew how to put balls on, I knew how to put films on.
After games there were funny comments and words of appreciation during personal encounters.
Not long ago he was taken out of the national team by the then national coach Jogi Löw.
Few people can cope when the boss throws them out.
The opposite happened to Thomas Müller: he got stronger and stronger.
Jogi Löw has recognized his mistake.
Thomas Müller has never, ever, ever given up.
He tells this story in the film.
For me, that is greater than Jogi’s admission of his mistake.
The documentary shows life from his beginnings in rural Pähl in Upper Bavaria and his start at FC Bayern Munich at just ten years old, to his sporting breakthrough on the national and international stage.
At the beginning of the film, Thomas is picking apples from the tree with his parents, and at the end, while playing golf, a flippant remark is made that leads to understanding, or rather incomprehension.
The film team accompanied Thomas and his family for over 2 years. Thomas sometimes filmed himself in order to capture emotions up close: before important sporting moments, after victories and also after defeats.
I have never seen such open, private moments from an athlete.
