Lost my period at 18 due to birth control (fuck that shit)
Turned pro when I was 21 and a student in college (tons of stress)
Was diagnosed with: hashimotos, hypothyroid, a thyroid storm at onset, bipolar and psychosis/mania, sibo/h Pylori, and absolutely tanked hormones (test, estrogen, progesterone all lower than reference range)
I take T3 and T4 medication now and have one low dose psych med that works great for me.
I have my period back.
I feel energized, strong, and capable.
You donāt need to live in shame. You just need to know someone who deals with this shit who you look up to and that makes the diagnosis more human.
I share this story because I know how powerful and healing it is to feel that youāre not alone.
Let me know if you have any questions, Iām here to support you however I can.

This past year I started focusing more on calisthenic movements like pull ups, push ups, and dips. Holy shit itās so much harder than just bodybuilding. Itās more like a skill you have to develop, sorta getting the hang of it in my body and how it feels. But I def think itās helped development overall.
If youāve got a goal ⦠or if you look at someone doing something cool in the gym⦠think about doing that yourself. Itās hard when youāre just starting something, but the feeling of believing in yourself and taking a chance far outweighs the actual difficulty.
I love the statement: you have to parent yourself. Because thatās what fitness and nutrition and DISCIPLINE is all about. You gotta be the mommy (muscle mommy).

I was probably like you and was too afraid to ask for a spot even though I needed it.
It was only when I had the kindness of a gym bro that I realized just how beneficial a spot could be.
Also, I donāt know what girl needs to hear this, but the heaviest weight you can lift is not limited to the 30 pound dumbbells.
You can go heavier if you make that a goal and work towards it. Last year I was capped out at the 40s where I started in the beginning of the video. Then I started trying the 45s but I had a hard time snatching it up to the top. That was until Jerrell came up to me and helped me get them up and bust out a PR.
I kept asking for spots, I kept making friends, and I worked up to the 50s and 52.5s.
When it comes to lifting partners, oh my dude⦠The guys that Iāve met in the gym are some of my biggest supporters when it comes to lifting heavy and being an overall strong woman.
Plus I think that the overhead shoulder press is a humbling and unifying movement for both genders. Guys and girls use the dumbbell overhead press to get big strong shoulders. However I will say that it seems guys are more used to spotting each other when it comes to going after heavy weight. But again⦠theyāre using more than 30s and boys actively try to get strong.
So if youāre a girl and youāre scared to go for the heavier weights, I encourage you to try. Thereās nothing more empowering than getting stronger in your upper body strength. And if you ask for a spot from a guy in the gym, thereās a good chance youāre gonna make a friend and theyāre gonna spot you every single time.
Shout out to these jacked af gym bros, amazing friends, and favorite spotters:

How we met:
We played soccer together in high school and ended up going to the same university at Purdue. After we both graduated, we got back in touch. Sophie expressed to me that she was ready to get back in the gym and wanted nutrition help. I had just started personal training and I told her that she would be my first client. I said I would do everything I could to get her a really good result, make it as affordable as possible, so we could work together for a long time.
How it started:
We began just with personal training, working on form, strength and getting into a good groove with programming. She was an athlete, still super active and strong, so the training part was easy for her. She loved the push and direction, but that wasnāt the challenge.
How it went:
What held Sophie back from seeing the major results was getting into a positive mindset when it came to cooking her own food. It gets pricey ordering food from Uber eats, and itās hard to hold yourself accountable for what youāre eating when you go out all the time.
The solution? Learn how and what to cook.
I wanted Sophie to see that she could make different recipes at home that were really easy, didnāt take a lot of time, and actually tasted really good.
When dealing with a picky eater, see what they do and donāt like. Donāt say āyou have to eat thisā, instead give options.
First I put all of Sophieās YES foods and NO foods into lists. I put the positive foods into categories of proteins, fats, and carbohydrates and added more suggestions under each that she would be able to get inspiration from.
I made a custom meal plan with listed quantities of all her favorite foods. I also gave her macros and a breakdown of how to track in MyFitnessPal so if she DIDNT wanna eat the meal plan, she would know exactly how to track and stay accountable.
The result:
When the nutrition was in place, the weight started coming right off weekly. She stayed active on her own, on top of her food, and the snowballing confidence motivated her through it. 30+ pounds down!
Iām SO PROUD of your journey šcheers to big booty cheeks, healthy food, and EDM šš§

I started out playing soccer growing up and grew some huge muscular legs. But as a young girl, all I saw was that my lower body was bigger than my upper body. That made me want to SHRINK to fit the aesthetic of fashion models and magazines.
When I got to college and started bodybuilding, I learned that my legs were what was winning shows. My upper body was actually what was lacking. So I switched my mindset to āoh I can actually CHANGE my body and grow into the size that looks good for me!ā Not having to shrink. But instead be proud of what Iāve built and build it a little bit more to balance everything out.
After competing in the IFBB, I took time off to get a job after college and I worked in the marketing sector of the beauty industry. Loved it, gained so much experience in social media marketing and brand marketing. But it wasnāt my passion. Fitness and nutrition is.
I quit my beauty job, got certified by NASM in personal training, got a part time job at a supplement store, and built my business from the ground up. Now I get to talk about supplements, nutrition, and training non stop and I couldnāt be happier.
Getting to share the knowledge Iāve acquired in the IFBB and through my own health journey, means so much to me. I love getting to share the mind blowing knowledge that literally changed my life for the better with others.
Through all the lifestyle and diet modifications, Iāve learned so much about the body and what it responds to. Potential triggers that one would think is benign. Iāve gone from being a lifelong vegetarian to a recently transformed carnivore. Huge mind blowing feedback from that change alone.
If you have any questions about my journey or about health and fitness in general, shoot me a DM! I would love to chat. If youāre curious about personal training, online programs, or nutrition coaching, please reach out! Iām looking to grow my team and want to help as many people as possible.
