📍Estudio Rambar, Las Catalinas
Estas son cinco piezas pequeñas que nacieron como parte de una exploración dentro de mi práctica artística.
Cada rostro fue construido a partir de diferentes fieltros y hules cortados en mi estilo topográfico, que luego rellené con una mezcla de papel triturado utilizando una técnica que aprendí en un taller con. El resultado son obras con distintas profundidades y relieves, donde cada material interactuó de forma diferente con la mezcla de papel.
Me gusta pensar en ellas como estudios o pruebas de algo que sigue evolucionando. Pequeños pasos que me ayudan a descubrir nuevas posibilidades dentro del trabajo en papel.
Las piezas están sin enmarcar, miden aproximadamente 20 × 15 cm y tienen diferentes espesores según los materiales utilizados.

El pasado viernes celebramos la primera preinauguración de Estudio Rambar, una noche dedicada a arquitectos, interioristas y aliados comerciales.
Fue una velada llena de arte, conversaciones, reencuentros y nuevas conexiones. Ver la galería llena de personas compartiendo y disfrutando del espacio nos recordó por qué hacemos esto.
Gracias a todas las personas que nos acompañaron, y un agradecimiento especial a Papagayo Brewing Company, Santarena y Pascual por su apoyo.
Esta fue la primera de varias preinauguraciones que estaremos realizando en los próximos meses.
Los espacios cobran sentido cuando están llenos de personas. Gracias por llenar el nuestro.

Last Friday we celebrated the first pre-opening event of Estudio Rambar, an evening dedicated to architects, interior designers, and business partners.
It was a night filled with art, conversation, reunions, and new connections. Seeing the gallery come alive with people enjoying the space reminded us why we do what we do.
Thank you to everyone who joined us, and special thanks to Papagayo Brewing Company, Santarena, and Pascual for their support.
This was the first of several pre-opening events we will be hosting in the coming months.

Una obra profundamente íntima y filosófica que entrelaza memoria, medicina, espiritualidad, conciencia y transformación personal a través de una narrativa poética y visceral.
Ha sido un verdadero honor colaborar en este proyecto realizando las ilustraciones del libro desde mi lenguaje visual de líneas y topografías. Poder acompañar visualmente un texto tan sensible, humano y reflexivo ha sido una experiencia profundamente significativa para mí.
Quiero agradecer enormemente a Polet por la confianza y sensibilidad con la que dio vida a esta obra, y también a Abecedaria Editoras por hacer posible este proyecto editorial tan especial.

Each strip represents an individual—unique on its own, yet part of a larger whole. Together, they form a structure of support, reflecting how we move forward as a collective: through collaboration, friendship, and shared effort. The piece is a tribute to those who have opened paths before us, and to those who will continue the chain after us.
Originally created in Costa Rica, Hopeful has been exhibited at the Museum of Contemporary Art and Design of Costa Rica, at the International Contemporary Textile Art Biennial at Costa Rica’s National Gallery and at the Arte Laguna Biennale in Venice, Italy. Today, it returns—welcoming visitors to Estudio Rambar in Las Catalinas.
🇨🇷 Hopeful de Ale Rambar es una instalación construida a partir de cintas de tela de color que caen como cascadas, generando movimiento al llegar al suelo.
Cada tira representa a una persona—única en sí misma, pero parte de un colectivo mayor. Juntas forman una cadena de apoyo que refleja cómo avanzamos como colectivo: a través de la colaboración, la amistad y el esfuerzo compartido. La obra es un homenaje a quienes han abierto camino antes que nosotros, y a quienes continuarán la cadena después.
Creada en Costa Rica, Hopeful ha sido exhibida en el Museo de Arte y Diseño Contemporáneo, en la Bienal Internacional de Arte Textil Contemporáneo en la Galería Nacional y en la Bienal Arte Laguna en Venecia, Italia. Hoy regresa, recibiendo a los visitantes en nuestra galería Estudio Rambar, en Las Catalinas.

En este proyecto intervenimos el cielo del restaurante Crazy Monkey, Tamarindo con una instalación de telas en movimiento.
Aprovechamos la gran altura del espacio para crear una serie de cortinas suspendidas que recuerdan a un escenario de teatro. Capas de tela en tonos beige complementan la estética del lugar y se activan con el viento. La instalación genera profundidad y una presencia suave pero envolvente.
