🎉Rio feels so alive during Carnival and there are so many bloccos (street parties) to go to! You can find out where they are online or just go for a wander in Copacabana because you’ll probably run into one!
👀 Carnival is all about celebrating, but make sure you go sightseeing too! Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf Mountain are a must!
🎉 Get tickets to see the parades at the Sambadrome in advance. We used
🛏️ I recommend staying in Copacabana. Yes it’s expensive but the location is perfect and you’ll feel like you’re in the middle of the party!
📱Phone theft is crazy in Rio and it escalates during Carnival. I didn’t bring my phone out at all because I was with friends who did (they had 2 phones and left one at the accommodation which I recommend! They actually both got their phones stolen at different times too, so good to have a backup!)
It’s important to plan in advance for Carnival so you don’t miss out on anything and make the most of it!! I thought I’d only go once in my life but I 100% have to go again!😍
