In 2004, I made the first ascent of the building - officialy invited by the authorities of the building, with a rope required by the government.
At the time, the building was still unfinished, extremely slippery ( rain,vinyl residues ) and i had undergone elbow surgery nine days earlier.
Different eras, different conditions - same passion for climbing.

Regarding his statement on people freesoloing 5.13d i would like to add, who did 5.14a and Dave Mac Leod.
More like the kind of routes I did climb freesolo 35 years ago were not secure at all with sloppy pockets, dynos and frictions when back in the days i had nearly zero margin since my hardest route with a rope was 5.14a and I was freesoloing only one level below knowing also that back in the days the hardest route climbed redpoint was only 5.14c then I was quite close to that limit either.
