I added all the hardware to a bowl with:
• warm to hot water
• dish soap
• vinegar
• 1 tbsp lemon juice
• 1 tsp bicarb soda
I let everything soak for a couple of hours, then used a brush to scrub off all the built-up grime and dirt. After rinsing, I cut a lemon in half, added salt, and scrubbed each piece again.
They came up so much shinier and cleaner without using harsh chemicals.

This wall sat empty for years and was seriously testing my patience… but I finally found the perfect piece. Stunning, isn’t it?
I’d been searching FB Marketplace for an antique bureau for so long, and over the weekend I finally found this beauty which of course meant convincing my poor husband to drive 40 minutes to collect it (as you do).
Made in England in 1896. Its still in good condition, needs a bit of TLC and I need to replace the hinges, however I can’t believe I found her! Just imagine the stories it could tell.

I’ve wanted a biscuit warmer for years, and I still can’t believe I found a genuine Sheffield Victorian era biscuit warmer just sitting there, right in front of me. It felt like it was meant to be.✨🦢
And as if that wasn’t enough, I also stumbled across a beautiful chrome expanding three-tier serving stand that opens up so elegantly. Some finds just stay with you forever!
Did you know you could also use this biscuit warmer as a flower box? Just add water at the bottom and add flowers they would look beautiful.

Hi! If you’re new here, welcome! I’m Sarah, I haven’t done one of these before, so here it goes! Here’s a little glimpse into my journey.
I’ve been living in Australia since 2017, after moving here from overseas. Before that, my family and I spent 15 years in the United Arab Emirates, where my children were born. My life has been full of travel and adventure- I’ve lived in several countries, including Qatar, the UAE, Germany, the UK, the United States, and Thailand.
Travel has always been a big part of my life. ♥️Fun fact: I’ve traveled to over 100 plus countries and hope to explore even more in the next couple of years! In my early 20s, I worked in the airline industry for major airlines like Qatar Airways, Emirates, and Etihad. After getting married, I transitioned into banking and worked in Fraud and Investigation.
In 2018, I followed my lifelong passion for interior design by studying it formally. Today, I’m fortunate to pursue a fulfilling career in interior design and styling, turning my creativity into a way of life.
One unique thing about me? I went to international schools, so my accent is all over the place! You might even hear hints of different accents when I speak.
When we moved to Perth, I started documenting our journey of making a house into a home. Since then, I’ve been sharing my love for interiors, styling, and creating spaces that feel personal and inviting. My family live between the US, Germany and Jordan. I am one of four siblings. I am a Capricorn and I was born on Christmas Eve! *hence why I love Christmas so much!
In my free time, I enjoy running, pottery, painting, and learning new languages. Currently learning Portuguese online. I’m fluent in both Arabic and English & French, and I have a basic speaking & communication in Turkish, Spanish, and German, hobbies that inspire me and help me stay connected to different cultures. 🌎
