一色暁生建築設計事務所は、2026年5月17日（日）にオープンハウスイベント「lost in transit」を開催します。
自宅兼オフィスである「林崎松江海岸の家」を会場に、韓国を拠点に活動するサウンドアーティスト sofolofo、hosoo を迎え、建築と音楽を横断する試みとしてのオープンハウスを行います。
家の中で奏でられる音は、空間にゆるやかに滲みながら広がり、訪れた方は自由に移動しながら、それぞれの距離や位置で音と建築の関係を体験することができます。
当日は、カレーハウス バブルクンド によるイベント限定のワンコインカレーやドリンクもご用意しています。
海辺の一日を、音とともにお過ごしください。皆さまのご来場をお待ちしております。

Akio Isshiki Architects will host an open house event “lost in transit” on Sunday, May 17, 2026.
Held at the architect’s home and studio, “House in Hayashisaki Matsue Beach,” this event explores the intersection of architecture and sound, featuring sound artists sofolofo and hosoo from Korea.
Sound will be performed within the house and gently spread throughout the interior space. Visitors are free to move through the house and experience the relationship between sound and architecture from different positions and distances.
Food and drinks will also be available, including a special one-coin curry by Curry House Babbulkund.
We invite you to spend a day by the sea, immersed in sound and space.

私たちにとって初めての展示です！
世界各地の辺境への旅を通して得たエッセンスが私たちの建築を形作っていることを軸に、
自邸「林崎松江海岸の家」のことを始め、東京と大阪でつくった２つの新築住宅のこと、そして、現在バリ島にて建設中のホテル（写真3枚目。撮影：施工者 ）のことなどを紹介します。

We will be exhibiting at “Hakkutsu-ten”, an architectural exhibition featuring nine young architects, held in Shibuya from April 25th to 30th.
We’ll be introducing our own home, “House in Hayashisaki Matsue Beach”, as well as 2 houses we’ve built in Tokyo and Osaka, and a hotel currently under construction in Bali (3rd photo; taken by construction company ).

It’s a house for a family of five on a flagpole-shaped lot.
In a time when construction costs continue to rise, I sought to reinterpret and update the essence of Japanese architecture—cultivated through this country’s climate and way of living—so that the house could keep costs down while blending naturally with its surroundings.

I truly love the first photo. When I saw this picture, I felt like the first chapter of the story we lived in this house had come to an end.
We moved to Akashi after the house was completed in 2023, people started gradually knowing about this house and us. About a year ago, people from all over the world began visiting. Kate, who emailed wanting to take photos, was one of them.
2 scorching midsummer days at the end of July. Between swimming at the beach and visiting the neighborhood Sento, her petite frame moved with light steps, capturing one shot after another. The house captured in the photos sent later seemed to exist in a world apart from the one we knew, playing with the shifting light and shadow.
Then, just 3 days after Kate left, a sign went up announcing development on the large plot of land in front of our house. That meant our view of the sea from our house would be lost.
In this house’s second chapter, major changes await us. We hope you’ll continue to support us, this house, and our studio.
イギリスの写真家 Kate Berry と我が家で過ごした旅の中のような、夢の中のような束の間の時間。
１枚目の写真が本当に好き。この写真を見た時、この家と共に歩んだ物語の第一章が終わったような気がした。
2023年にこの家が完成し明石に引っ越してきて、少しずつこの家と私たちのことが知られるようになり、1年くらい前から世界中のたくさんの人が訪ねてきてくるようになった。写真を撮りたいとメールをくれ、私たちのところを訪ねてきたKateもそうだ。
７月終わりの焦げるような真夏の２日間。ビーチで泳いだり、近所の銭湯に行ったり、その合間合間で小柄な彼女は軽やかな足取りで次々にシャッターを切った。後日送られてきた写真に写る私たちの家は、いつも見ている世界とはまた別の世界にあるように、光と影の移ろいと戯れていた。
そしてKateが去ったその3日後、家の前の大きな土地が開発されるというお知らせ看板が立った。それは即ち、私たちの家から海への眺望が失われるということを意味する。
この家との第二章では、大きな変革が待ち受けている。これからも私たちとこの家と、事務所のことを、どうぞよろしくお願いします。
