Inspired by Chambres dâAmis, the project places contemporary artworks into environments usually associated with innovation, infrastructure, and technological development.
Rather than existing in a single exhibition venue, Vectors takes the form of a city-wide parcours connecting different sites and contexts. The works engage with questions surrounding technology, AI, labor, systems of information, and the cultural dimensions of innovation â often in direct dialogue with the companies and institutions hosting them.
I visited a few of the stations across the city and was especially interested in how differently the works operated depending on their surrounding architecture and context. Here I focused on the presentation of Younsik Kim at Polarise Tucherpark, curated by Dominik Bais.
Additional stations include Apple (KarlstraĂe), BMW Foundation Herbert Quandt, Bayerischer Rundfunk, Celonis, OSKAR, Munich Urban Colab, the Forum der Zukunft at the Deutsches Museum, and the VO HQ. All locations can be visited through guided tours, which can still be booked via the Various Others website until May 24.

Yesterday at Various Others, entering Galerie Sperling felt like stepping into a living organism â wax traces, fragmented language, sculptural bodies, sound, breath.
And then Ushara activated the space.
The moment her voice moved through Anousha Payneâs exhibition Triangle reshapes the O of my mouth was pure goosebumps. Suddenly the works no longer felt static, but inhabited â as if the house itself had started breathing. Organ, cello, field recordings and voice merged into something deeply physical and haunting.
Featuring works by Anousha Payne, sound performance by Ushara, and concrete poetry by Kitty Doherty. Congratulations to Sperling on receiving this yearâs VO Award.

Completed shortly before her passing in February 2026, the work now carries an even heavier resonance. What remains after systems collapse? What survives in objects, gestures, and spaces?
