I took a train from London Liverpool Street and was in Bury St. Edmunds in less than 2 hours. It was faster than it takes to cross the city in traffic! It was such an easy, comfy journey, and way more affordable than I expected. Let’s just say it was way more affordable than most things I do in London!

There’s just nothing that gives me energy like being in the mountains. It’s not exactly happiness, it’s peace. That quiet kind of peace where everything slows down and you feel like you’re exactly where you’re meant to be.
I started the Rysy hike (highest peak in Poland, third highest in Slovakia) on a few hours of sleep and way too much caffeine, classic. 😅 The trail was gorgeous from the start, and as we climbed higher, little patches of snow started showing up. Then a bit more… and a bit more… until suddenly we were walking through full-on winter. We were only about 600m from the top when we had to call it. We didn’t bring crampons so it just wasn’t safe to keep going… it was a really stupid mistake from us.
As frustrating as it was, I still don’t regret going. Being there was just unreal, just us and the mountains. Those are the moments that stick with you.

🥾 Hiker tip: always check the weather and bring the right gear (crampons included if there’s snow). The mountain will wait, your safety comes first. 🤍
