ISETAN SALONE にて、アメリカ人画家 Aesther Chang の個展を開催いたします。
昨年春の展示を経て、拠点をボストンから京都へと移したAesther Chang。 滞在する土地の自然や空気から着想を得て制作を続けてきました。
本展タイトルは 「The Shape of Air ― 空気の輪郭」
空を丹念に見つめることから生まれた作品群。
繊細な色彩の重なりが、光や動き、大気の移ろいを静かに映し出します。 また、3月28日（土）には ART TRAVELERファウンダー・艸谷真由氏を迎え、予約制トークイベントを開催。

Curated by moor gallery ISETAN SALONE Tokyo is pleased to present a solo exhibition by American painter Aesther Chang.
Following her first exhibition at ISETAN SALONE last spring, Aesther Chang relocated her practice from Boston to Kyoto, where she has continued to develop works shaped by the natural environments and atmospheres of the places she inhabits.
The exhibition’s title, ‘The Shape of Air’, refers to forms emerging from absence. Grounded in close observation of the sky and a nuanced palette, the paintings explore light, movement, and atmospheric transformation.
On Saturday, March 28, a reservation-only talk event will be held featuring Mayu Kusatani, founder of ART TRAVELER.
Reservations will open on Saturday, March 7.

My work is about finding stillness within motion—creating tension or chaos in moments of calm. This plays out in the interaction of the materials I use. Stillness and motion depend on each other — their interplay gives a work its depth and life.
Kyoto’s weather shifts constantly, creating ever-changing clouds and light. The seasons transform the atmosphere, and my painting process mirrors this — it’s a reflection of change, reminding us that, like nature, we are constantly evolving.
