Steamboat is so special!! I was honestly so nervous for my first day back this season being 1 month post op but I had sooo much fun. I absolutely loved the fewer crowds, friendliest staff & they have so much amazing terrain for everyone. Thanks to & for planning such an epic weekend!

Waterton Canyon is an easy, scenic walk or bike just outside the city, following the South Platte River into the foothills. The wide gravel road makes it accessible for all levels and the canyon walls are prime habitat for bighorn sheep, especially in spring and fall.
📍 Waterton Canyon (about 30 minutes from Denver)
⏰ Best time: early morning or evening
💡 Tip: look up along the canyon walls and bring binoculars
🌲 Stay on the road, give wildlife plenty of space, and pack out all trash

Winter is coming!!! We’re getting so excited for cozy snowboarding trips and fairytale villages 🥲 here’s how to plan a winter weekend trip to Vail:
Stay:
- is the dreamiest property and its location in Vail Village is perfect. We loved the ski concierge who had our snowboards waiting for us right next to the gondola so we didn’t have to carry them through the village. Our room, and the view from our balcony, was beautiful!
Eat:

- Gambit Bar has awesome cocktails, live music and a fun hot chocolate!

Tips and things to know:
- You could switch around the days depending on how much you want to drive and weather. We loved having a campervan for this reason! When we saw it was raining at Milford Sound, we drove there to experience it in the rain.
- Many areas are remote without cell service. Download offline maps and know do your research to make sure you’re prepared! For cell service, we used and it worked great.
- Leave no trace and respect the environment by packing out your trash and staying on trail.
- Most campsites do not need to be booked in advance. You must have a certified self-contained campervan in order to freedom camp. Check each area’s rules for freedom camping as it may differ.
- bring bug spray and long loose clothing to avoid sandfly bites. They were bad in areas near water
- we visited at the end of November and beginning of December when the lupines are in full bloom!
- bring waterproof clothing, an umbrella, and lots of layers! It was warm during the day and cold at night
