I’ve been invited to the 61st International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia, by Koyo Kouoh.
I feel overwhelmed with gratitude to have been selected by Koyo Kouoh to participate. Although Koyo is not physically here, I believe in her spirit, practice, and the words from her curatorial conceit have been a source of light and guidance. May her words “shift us to a slower gear and tune in to the frequencies of the minor keys.”
A huge thank you also to Rory Tsipayi, Siddhartha Mitter, Rasha Salti, Marie Hélène Pereira, and Gabe Beckhurst Feijoo for their incredible support and collaboration at every turn. Yal are a dream team.
The 61st International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia, “In Minor Keys,” by Koyo Kouoh, will run from May 9 to November 22, 2026 at the Giardini and the Arsenale venues, and in various locations around Venice, Italy.
