any fresh postpartum moms it does get better i swearrrr!!!
sisters hen!!!
also it's crazy to think that the little girl i was so excited about is now nearly 9 months old and just the most funny little amazing human ever!!!
girl mom foreverrr 🧚🦄✨

8.5 months of breastfeeding, with 6 of those months being exclusively breastfed - completed it ✔️!!!
i went into breastfeeding with a super chilled mindset and luckily it seemed to work really well for both me and adalie and it was a pretty smooth sailing journey. howeverrr, that being said, to say it's demanding being the only person that can feed your baby and literally keep them alive would be a complete understatement
i went back to work pretty much straight after having adalie (not recommended, but self employed vibes 🤘🏼) so the plan was never to exclusively breastfeed. i always wanted to express and do bottles too but adalie had other ideas and gave the bottle a big fat NO ✋🏼
it was a struggle trying to work, manage a business, go on runs, go to the gym or really do anything for long periods of time with a baby who refused a bottle. BUT looking back i do have so many fond memories of our breastfeeding journey. it really was the easiest and most convenient thing ever for us. night feeds, day trips, meals out, holidays etc it just made everything so simple ✨
there were SO many moments when i was in the thick of it that i swore i'd never do it again. but now that it’s over, i know i would (but would just make sure the bottle was also a daily occurrence lol)
i didn’t expect to cry when i stopped but i think it was a mix of every emotion possible. proud, relieved, happy and a little bit sad that we’re closing that chapter. she's growing up so quickly and my heart physically can't take it!!!! ❤️🩹
the female body is magicallll ✨🧚♂️🪄🦄
i inputted my pace strategy into my watch for the first time and it was SO helpful (wrote it on my hand too incase i didn't know what was going on with my watch lol)
my plan for the race was to approach the half with a negative split (running the second half faster than the first) but i actually ended up running pretty similar paces throughout. the main goal was to avoid going out too fast, to save some energy early on and avoid hitting a wall or seeing my pace drop in the final 3-5k, especially when i knew i would want to push a little harder at the end. i wanted to finish strong, and i definitely felt like i did 🪄
for fuel, i used gels and energy blocks. i started taking them 30 minutes in, then every 30 minutes after that like CLOCK WORK 🕣 the key is fuelling before you even feel like you need it!!! then the last 15 minutes i took two energy blocks for one final little boost to get me over that finish line ⚡️
once i crossed the line, i had a energy bar for a quick refuel before we headed out for some pizza... what else do you have after a big run?!
over and out training and content. time to keep the momentum going for at the end of august!! i love this game 🤘🏼

this is what i meant when i said yesterday’s race meant more to me than any race i've ever done. i was running for the girl at the start of this video. the one who genuinely couldn’t imagine ever being able to do what i did yesterday again. BUT women are SO strong and we really can come back stronger after pregnancy, labour and postpartum!
and it was for my little baby too. i hope i can show her the incredible and positive impact that exercise can have on your life 🤍
hats off to everyone who took part in over the weekend, it was a hot and sweaty one 🥵

1:58:48!!!!! 🥹💫⚡️✨ SO so happy!
i had a secret goal of running this in under 2 hours, but didn't tell anyone (not even robbie 🤫) just to keep the pressure off myself. out of all the races i've done this one has meant the absolute most to me. i honestly thought so many times during training, there is no way i'm going to be able to run this half. training for an event with a baby is a completely different ball game. you are no longer number one and your training and recovery comes second
BUT you know when a day just goes well for you, welllll today was that day 🤝 my pacing strategy was on point, i felt strong the whole way, fuelling was perfect and honestly i just really enjoyed it from start to finish 🥹
thank you so much to for the opportunity to be an ambassador for this years event. i really hope i have encouraged even just one person to go for it next year because we are all so much more capable than what we give ourselves credit for!! ⚡️

i’ll admit that i’ve never been someone who heavily trains their core but during pregnancy wow i locked IN. i was extremely aware of diastasis recti and i wanted to do everything i could to prevent this abdominal separation or at least reduce its severity
it’s common for women to experience some degree of separation, usually minimal and it can be reversed, but safely training your deep core throughout pregnancy gives your body the best shot at minimising it 🪄
i want to get back to lifting heavy weights, running long distances, climbing mountains and being a strong and healthy role model for my daughter so i knew i needed to work hard during pregnancy to give myself the smoothest recovery and the easiest return to training postpartum
i’ve said it before and i’ll say it again… strength training is for every season of life. even pregnancy 🤝

my rebranded fitness business. it was time for a new name to really represent who i am as a coach but also who my clients are
i am so proud of building my business to where i have over the past 3 and a half years and all the clients i have worked with. they are a huge part of the reason for this rebrand. i am inspired daily by their strength, not just physically but also mentally
