A stroke happens when blood flow to part of the brain is interrupted, cutting off oxygen and nutrients the brain needs to survive. This is a time-sensitive emergency.
There are 2 main types of stroke:
🩸 Ischemic Stroke (blood clot)
🩸 Hemorrhagic Stroke (bleeding in the brain)
The only way to know which type is happening is through brain imaging; which is why calling 911 immediately is so important.

Based on our last video… it’s probably not what you think.
A lot of people commented that you should twist a tick when removing it, but our friends at shared that the recommended method has changed over time.
The safest method is to use a tick removal tool and pull straight upward with steady, even pressure.
Why?
Ticks are small, delicate arachnids, and twisting or squeezing them can increase the risk of breaking them apart during removal.
Huge thank you to for helping us bust this common myth and keep both people and pets safer 🐶🩺

In a choking emergency, oxygen is cut off to both mother and baby. Acting quickly is critical.
First: call 911 immediately.
If she cannot cough, speak, or breathe:
⚠️ Do NOT perform traditional abdominal thrusts.
Instead, provide:
- 5 firm back blows between the shoulder blades
- Followed by 5 chest thrusts (placing your hands in the center of the chest, just above the breasts, the same hand position as CPR compressions, but performed standing).
Continue alternating 5 back blows and 5 chest thrusts until the object is dislodged or the patient becomes unresponsive.
Chest thrusts are safer than abdominal thrusts during pregnancy and still create the pressure needed to clear the airway.
Your fast action can restore oxygen and save two lives.
