Il Bivacco Bafile, è situato sulla parete rocciosa meridionale del Corno Grande, su uno sperone roccioso a 2669mt. di altitudine, dal quale è possibile vedere la vetta del Corno Grande e tutte le cime orientali del Gran Sasso.
Costruita nel 1926 come riparo per gli operai che lavoravano alla realizzazione dell'acquedotto Riconnessione, ancora oggi il Bafile, con nove posti letto, è un punto fondamentale di appoggio per gli alpinisti e gli appassionati della montagna.
