Love a hot toddy and this is my "go to" recipe - making two different with two different drams, the Ardnamurchan Sherry and the Ballechin Orange Cask!
50ml freshly squeezed lemon juice (I like it tart! 😜)
50ml whisky (I like using something with a bit of smoke)
A heaped spoon of honey
Cinnamon stick
A couple of cloves
A couple of star anise
Hot water
Combine, stir, enjoy!!

This single malt from Glenallachie Distillery in the Speyside region of Scotland, was distilled on the 30th of August 2005. It was aged for 20 years, including a finishing period in an Oloroso sherry cask.
It was bottled at cask strength at natural intense mahogany colour and no chill filtration. Limited to 353 bottles.
Rich chocolate, spiced orange and honeycomb, followed by hazelnuts, muscovado sugar and salted caramel, with crystalised ginger and soft tobaco.
With the finish of baking spices, heather honey and mocha, followed by dried plums, muscovado sugar and raisin butter, with espresso and orchard fruits.
This is an incredible whisky, it’s an elevation of the 18 (if that was possible). This issue is when you get into certain prices for a bottle you’re worried they will disappoint, this doesn’t, this is an oh my god this is good bottle and in my opinion definitely worth the price tag 🥃
