I resigned from my job in Australia and moved to the UK to assist as she created her cookbook. it was such a dream come true and I learnt so much by assisting Marie and watching her work (and fell in love with dogs, thanks to the sweetest Mr Whiskey!). I began taking my photography seriously, shooting daily and slowly started to create my own style. I carried my camera everywhere, spending long days immersed in the English countryside, completely captivated by it and the way it taught me to see and appreciate beauty.
I returned home at the end of that year knowing that photography was what I wanted to pursue full time. Looking back at these images now, I’m reminded of how much confidence I still needed to build, and how much there was yet to learn - but also how just how happy I was as I took these images - shooting moments & scenes I loved.
I’m so so grateful for 2016. For the chance to learn from someone I admired so deeply, and for the lessons and challenges that shaped me more than I realised at the time.

the end of the year was so special, and
i’m immensely grateful for this beautiful life and all the goodness it holds,
but holidays can feel lonely sometimes, even when surrounded by others.
it’s not something i speak of much here,
but there’s an ache in singleness - in waiting for the right man, the right timing -
that often goes unseen, unspoken.
my life holds so much beauty, contentment, and happiness,
and yet, there are moments where singleness can still sting.
so if you’re in a similar season of waiting,

such a huge year … so much change and adjustment alongside new landscapes and abundant beauty. moving to England has been challenging yet deeply rewarding - a season that has held both goodness and grief mingled with much quiet growth.
so grateful for the beautiful friendships (new + old), the wonderful work opportunities, and the incredibly dreamy moments that shaped this year, and for the kindness and support from you all on here, it really means so much!
