Conceived as quiet shelters suspended between land, sky and ocean, the project explores restraint, atmosphere and the experience of inhabiting the edge of the continent.

A new chapter and design career awaits in San Francisco. I’ll still be here sharing progress on the final A21 projects as they move from design to construction, in addition to exploring other new creative and artistic works… just less frequent and less Colorado-centric moving forward.

Tucked within a quiet clearing beside Cheyenne Creek, our design for the remodel and addition to an existing residence originally designed by Burnham Hoyt sits lightly on the land, honoring the calm spirit of the site and original architecture. The new composition introduces a twin low-slung, timber-clad volume linked by a glass connector to the existing structure, creating an opportunity to flank the home with pair of distinct courtyard spaces filled with plantings… an experience of living within a garden amongst the trees.
