The final installation of slow leak presents VR poetry work, Meet in the Corner, by Rindon Johnson. Published in 2017 by, this video and sound piece was first presented in The Unframed World, a group show of exclusively VR works at HeK, Basel. Through the translation of poetics into a film based medium, Meet in the Corner works with the spatial qualities of VR and their relationship to cerebral space or the space of a poem itself. We begin inside of a mouth teeming with animated germ-like creatures. As a toothbrush comes to whisk them away, the artist's voice, recorded conversation, and sounds of submersion in water carry us through a constellation of imageries: a popcorn machine, fireworks, disembodied black hands reaching, elephants, fragments of white bodies swimming, trees in the wind. โ

Deriving from the individual projects of Kristoff and Bascon, Grindr Sunsets and Cultivating a Garden, respectively, ๐บ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ฎ๐๐๐ ๐๐ (2022) is one component of their amorphous collaborative undertaking, a "temporary congregation of friends and strangers over a reclaimed land at Laguna de Bay." The publication chronicles a specific meeting held at sunset on December 12, 2021 in De La Paz, Binan, Laguna. Standing together in the water, participants reflected on virtual intimacies and their experience learning about HIV. ๐ด ๐ด โ

The shapes originate from negative space created by the deterioration of papyrus and were interpreted as sheet music by a violinist onsite.
