I went to a town hall to find out… and I wasn’t satisfied with the answers.
Here’s what the proposed budget shows:
• Total budget: ~$6.97 BILLION
• 52% goes to public safety
• $179 MILLION → Parks & Recreation
• $7.1 MILLION → Pothole repairs
• $1.9 MILLION → School program expansion
Let that sink in.
Over $100 million MORE is being invested into parks than into programs supporting our children’s education.
I understand not all funding is flexible…
but that still doesn’t explain how these priorities are being decided.
How are cleaner parks being prioritized over our children’s future?
How is increased policing prioritized over investing in mental health and healing in our communities?
At some point, we have to ask:

Anybody that tells you to finance a house when the mortgage rates are at 7.6% DOES NOT have your best interest at heart ‼️
Instead of financing, you could take that same direct deposit you have saved & buy MULTIPLE PROPERTIES from the tax lein auction for as little as $1 ❣️
The difference between financing a house & buying from the auction is
✅️ The house is completely paid off so no monthly payments except utilities
✅️ The only real estate bill you have is property taxes once a year
✅️ You can either flip a few properties to buy your dream house in full or build your own dream house using a 203k loan
"What's a 203k loan?"
This is a real estate loan used primarily for rehabbing properties. You can borrow money based on the ARV (after repair value) of the home so it's up to you how much you want to put into the rehab.
Most people use these loans & pay them back like they do a mortgage but I like to do things a lil different.
I become a general contractor so I could give the lender my own quote for the repair costs so I can literally get paid to repair the house! 💎
"What do you mean get paid for repairs?"
Say it's costs 50k to repair the property. I can tell the lender it costs 75k & keep the extra 25k to invest or put towards paying the loan back! Like I said I THINK BIG BITCH 💯

Remember that land I said helped pay for my Tesla in the last post? Well this is it! & I sure did get it for $1!
How you ask?
The tax lein auction of course! (You should know auctions are my favorite place to be by now)
Usually the online auction I go to has land/properties for as low as $25 but I got lucky and found one nobody wanted for $1! I was the only bidder and bidding starts at $1!
So what does this mean?
It means that crumpled up dollar in your pocket could buy you a whole piece of land!
This is the value of putting assets over liabilities!
I could’ve spent that same dollar on a lottery ticket that has a less than zero percent chance of giving me a return on my money. But instead I spent it on an ASSET (something you buy that you can use to make more money) & that asset turned my $1 into 25k!
Invest in assets & not liabilities and you 5 years from now will thank you!
