Mi sono presa qualche ora per far sì che il turbinio di emozioni e pensieri si calmasse e potessi analizzare tutto nella maniera più razionale possibile. Strana la vita eh? Fino ad un anno fa era un sogno per me anche solo il pensiero di poter partecipare alle olimpiadi, oggi mi ritrovo a pensare che la mancata medaglia individuale e l’argento a squadre siano la più grande delusione della mia vita. È diventata quasi forse la mia ossessione, il dover arrivare in alto e subito a tutti i costi, senza godersi le tappe, ma lo sport non è e non deve essere questo. Non deve essere un’ossessione negativa, non deve arrivare a condizionare il tuo modo di pensare a tal punto da non perdonarti mai un passo falso e sentirti quasi in dovere di arrivare in cima altrimenti non vali come persona. Perché, come ha detto in un bellissimo post la mia compagna di squadra Arianna, lo sport è vita, ma non tutta la vita. E quindi dalla mia prima olimpiade mi porto a casa questo: l’aver capito che bisogna essere più clementi con se stessi; è bellissimo puntare sempre al massimo, volere sempre di più, ma bisogna anche darsi tregua, respirare, godersi il bello delle cose, permettersi anche di sbagliare e smetterla di giudicarsi. Bisogna essere i primi fan di sé stessi! Sarà difficile metterlo in pratica? Assolutamente si… mi conosco ormai, so di essere una testa dura… ma quella che in questo momento può sembrarmi una delusione sportiva so che diventerà un grande insegnamento di vita. Detto ciò… grazie di tutto ragazze, non era ciò che volevamo e meritavamo, però abbiamo fatto un percorso strepitoso in questi anni, sappiamo il nostro valore e nessuno ce lo toglierà mai.
