One week since the sun was shining on us as these two lovebirds tied the knot in a glorious outdoor ceremony in the gardens of Iscoyd Park.
The birds were singing and Jade’s veil danced in the breeze as they said their vows. Just everything you imagine for a spring wedding.

Their story began in sunny Spain, when a German girl caught the eye of Scottish boy, and their holiday romance turned into happy ever after.
Distance, time zones, and long drives followed,until they made it to the aisle together at Ellingham Hall, celebrating with all their families and friends.
Two people who had already chosen each other many, many times before saying “I do” officially.

There’s something about a church wedding that I really love. Footsteps on the cool stone floor, the worn warmth of the wooden pews. Filtered light through stained glass, the rise and fall of voices singing out hymns. The peace. The unity. The love.
Churches have been the heart of communities for centuries and bringing everyone you love into one time-honoured room to attend a wedding ceremony just has a weightyness to it that gives me the good kind of goosebumps.
Zane’s parents got married in this little church in Chaldon by chance really; they wanted a small wedding abroad so a church all the way in England with just their nearest and dearest present felt like the kind of adventure that made sense for them. Fast forward twenty or so years and Zane + Sadie made the same journey too, following along in their footsteps by bringing family and friends from their Arizona home to the Surrey countryside once again. Adding another special connection to a place that was so much more to them than just a venue.
Sadie + Zane’s journey to Chaldon Church is such a lovely one, it’s full of tradition, family, and a real sense of doing what feels right for them and not what’s expected.
It’s stories like theirs, that feel rooted in something meaningful, that you find within the walls of churches and that’s what makes me so excited to photograph weddings like this. 💛
