Theses are seldom accessible due to their limited production, but are often remarkable works. This Award aims to celebrate these publications, and promote among them an outstanding work, for the quality of its research and its publishing. Respectively, the recipient of the Award will see their thesis (re)published by Page Not Found in a larger edition, and professionally distributed to bookshops.

Join us Wednesday 7 October, 18:00, for the launch of Planting Droughts: Steppe degradation and settler environmentalism in China's Inner Mongolia by author QXK. โ๏ธ
๐๏ธ The evening will start with an introduction by the author. It will be followed by a screening of "Who Stole the Sky?", an experimental film on the shifting weathers of contemporary Inner Mongolia. ๐พ Afterwards there will be a conversation between QXK and Patricia Reed, who mentored QXK's research throughout the writing of the thesis.
QXK is the recipient of the 2025 Page Not Found Thesis Award, recognising outstanding publishing by Master's students. With "Planting Droughts", she critically revisits dominant narratives of desertification, combining fieldwork with reflective research to question the assumptions shaping the open terrain today.

It was a packed and lively evening for the latest edition of Typographic Nights! The evening was curated by and focussed on a new generation of graphic designers.

On Saturday 26 September, AZC locations (asylum seekers' centres) across the Netherlands are opening their doors again for the Open AZC Dag. A day to get to know life at an AZC location and talk with residents and staff.
Visitors get a look behind the scenes, the chance to ask questions and hear personal stories. There are also guided tours, workshops and activities for kids.
This year the Open AZC Dag again falls on the same day as Nationale Burendag (National Neighbours' Day), and that's no coincidence: both days are about meeting, connecting and strengthening the neighbourhood. By opening their doors, the locations show that residents of a reception centre are simply neighbours too, part of the same community.

Initiated by Page Not Found in 2022, the NEU Commission supports the emergence of alternative voices within contemporary art, particularly art students with limited financial means facing visa guarantees and high Non-EU tuition fees.
The selection jury consisted of Staci Bushea, Tala Abdalhadi and Thana Faroq. After weighing each submission carefully, the jury selected:

โซ๏ธand Salma Hassan (Palestine).
Reina Hasbini (Lebanon) and Tรขm ฤแป (Vietnam) receive the special Prologue category. Raha Moosavikhah (Iran) receives an honorable mention. ๐
The winners are commissioned to each write an essay, to be published in 2027, and receive a financial compensation of โฌ2000 (โฌ1000 for the Prologue category).

Susanne Khalil Yusefโs multidisciplinary practice is deeply intertwined with her personal history. Born in Germany into a family of Palestinian refugees who were violently displaced from their home in Jaffa, she experienced a nomadic childhood across Europe before acquiring Dutch citizenship at age 25. She earned her Bachelor and Master of Fine Art degrees from the St. Joost academy. In 2014, she spent a semester at the International Academy of Art Palestine in Ramallah, which shaped her artistic vocabulary.
