Sainsbury's bread bun (halved and buttered..that's the easy bit sorted).
Then layer of pate (tartex paste with a little Oxo veggie chicken stock cube).
Then honey roasted ham style wafer thin slices (I dry fried them to warm them through as I assembled the bun)(yes that's right it's not in order that I made it).
Then we have (by we I mean me, chuff knows what you had I might go look or I might do something else) my version of duxelles (@ lardons
and mushrooms, all diced up fine and pan fried salt and black pepper).
Then we have the flank (pan fried then rested and sliced).
Topped that with bisto veggie beef gravy and then topped that with some puff pastry in this case puff, brushed with egg and sprinkledvwith bagel seasoning before being oven cooked.
Served with some fat pasty chips seasoned with fries with that.
I know I make it sound hard, but it's not (for a change).

Chippy tea night, if more chippys did this I'd be a happy boy (yes even fatter than I am now,but it would be handy to walk into a chippy and get a veggie option that doesn't suck ).

Cheese dreams are real people, I've experimented for years, halloumi is some mystical cheese...be warned though as late night Double Gloucester leads to vivid nightmares that are both terrifying and hilarious in equal measure. Yes I know..what's this mad old weirdo going on about now? You came here to find out what is going on on a plate of food. Well at least I'm not talking about my tackle.

I don't post much these days but thought I'd get into the Halloween spirit (yes I mean rum). As it was burger night I thought I'd go all out and have some fun in the kitchen and then I made this burger.
Homemade veggie steak burger. Toasted seeded brioche with bugles for teeth, if you want a more vicious burger have them pointy end out, you can see that and more of my claptrap at #3squarehalloween
The burger was finished off in sticky chipotle sauce (lucky burger).
And topped with truffle cheddar and popped under a cloche to get melty.
Oh the eyes are free to fly quail eggs. (Boiled ).

This sits on top of...
kofta mix (pan fried, added bisto red box,on salt, Oxo veg cube, both peppers and boiling water).
All this malarkey is topped with grated cheddar and mozzarella from then popped into a 200c oven for 10 minutes or until it starts to brown if you're using a candle to cook with.

So onto the how to make your own veggie version like this one...well I can't be bothered to tell you that either and I'm keeping my fake chicken skin under my hat for now (yes that sounds a bit Hannibal Lecter but it's only metaphorical.... promise).
Anyway in other news we had a brilliant time watching Mary Poppins at on Friday night, if you get the chance to see it..do it. It's a proper spectacle.

It's been a busy day. I've been painting the back fence and I've done that many up and down strokes I could deffo knock one out on muscle memory alone (now I've got that out the way ).
Lincolnshire sausages (pan fried then cut on a jaunty angle)
salad potatoes (cut and boiled for 10 minutes).
Bisto sausage gravy black and white pepper.
Topped with mns puff pastry and baked for 15 minutes at 200c.
Served with garden peas.

Ok here we go. I don't follow a recipe, I find them tedious and dull. Not a fan of writing them out much either so... unlucky.
This is (here's the basics).
salmon style fillets(broken up and fried off)
Spring onions,red and green chillies (first layer of heat...keep count...you might want to play one two miss a few)
All in a wok add some curry sauce granules or paste, whatever you have at hand (yes heat layer numero 2).
Water to make it a sauce then added in some udon Noddles and some Seoul food seasoning (yup that's layer 3...she getting warm now).
At this point I thought fuck it and went straight into layer 4 which was a squirt of wasabi sriracha (yes I know that's two things,but it was the same bottle).
Into a bowl to rest while I fried an egg, swilled my mouth out with rum n coke(no I didn't spit).
Plopped the egg on the top sprinkled with more spring onions, a squirt of the wasabi sriracha (5). And another sprinkle of Seoul food seasoning (6).
It's almost a recipe and it's all you getting( bit like the sly rub once your fella has fallen asleep..let you into a secret...still awake ).
